The reason its much healthier than any other color in the market is because its pH value is around 8.5compared to 10.5 - 11.5 with all the other colors ( a difference from 8.5 to 10.5 is not 2 but 20 in pH terms) which means they don't have the toxic, harsh chemicals in the color. Thats why this color needs heat to open the cuticles to get color pigments into the hair. All the other colors do not use heat because they have the harsh chemicals and therefore they have a high pH value. To keep the pH value you need quality ingredients and that why its more expensive. Also there is 2-methylresorcinol which is hydrolyzed resorcinol (much more expensive) not direct resorcinol. Google the two and see the difference. Its like bad cholesterol and good cholesterol or bacteria good for the stomach and ones bad for the stomach.
