I spaced them 6 inches apart. I cleaned the wall with IPA, let it dry and firmly pressed the clips to the wall. I waited the recommended 24 hours before hanging the tapestry. The grip was great and all was well for about a week. Then 1 or 2 clips per day started to drop. The adhesive failed and the tapestry fell completely after about 2 weeks.
