Review: Amazing small little asset - Works like a charm, even with the hotel splash pages. get the firmware update going and watch for open ports and attack surfaces. I used cable on the outside and WLAN on the inside. Work like a charm. Maybe a weekly reset is needed, but hey, it packs a punch, fast, easy, runs.
Review: Worked first time! - I used this connect an old TV - which only had an ethernet port - to my wifi network (i.e. a bridge). Have to say I always have to mentally prepare myself when it comes to any new hardware as usually it involves hours of fighting/firmware updates/resets to get things working. But this worked first time! I connected my phone to its built-in wifi, used the dashboard to connect it to my house wifi, plugged the supplied ethernet cable into the TV, and it worked first time! This is very neat too, its small and it's USB powered so was able to power it from the TV's USB socker, so the wires are not visible (happy wife!)

**Q: Can this device take wifi input (not ethernet / cat 6) and convert it to a ethernet output (cat 6)?**
A: Yes, you could setup like this:
WiFi--->GL-AR300M16-Ext---(ethernet cable)--->Your devices

**Q: Can I change one antenna to a directional antenna and use in repeater mode?**
A: You could change the antenna, the antenna is uFL to RP-SMA-Male.

**Q: If I connect an external antenna do I have to have something connected to both antenna ports and if so do they have to match or can I leave one empty?**
A: Coverage will likely be better with two similar antennas connected. One antenna connected would not, most likely, cause any circuit failures. GL.iNet has indicated to me that dissimilar antennas is acceptable. In my case I tried a WiFi yagi on one antenna port (supplied antenna on the other) but it did not improve signal strength to my internet source in my particular situation.  I would suggest you give it a try and see if it works for you.

**Q: How fast does it boot up from power off to connection?**
A: It takes around 1 min.
