I say ditch the issued record player needle because it is inferior and invest 7-10 bucks in a better set of needles. Easy to do. Just snap it in place after removing the old needle on the cartridge. I plugged in a pair of computer speakers with an rca cord set. That way I control bass and tones. It can really be a great listening experience from those old LPs. Without the added speakers and w/issued needle it sounds like a tin can with a waxed string. But buff it up and its very pleasing. Great for playing tunes off my PCs music library. Very good sound. if enhanced. Easily stored when not in use.
