I felt it necessary to add a second review regarding my Vitscan bottle(s). It has been almost a year now since I purchased my 75oz. Vitscan water bottle and it has been functioning perfectly since day one. Due to my satisfaction of the 75oz. version, I purchased a 1 gallon bottle for my girlfriend and I to share while hiking or on road trips. Speaking of road trips, it is what occurred when we reached our destination at our relatives residence that was so impressive. I had placed the bottle on top of blankets and luggage in the back seat and it was leaning against the rear door. While unpacking, my girlfriend opened the rear door and the 1 gallon bottle took a spill from the top of the back seat, bounced against the bottom of the seat then straight onto the concrete driveway. Despite being three quarters full of water as well as falling nearly 4 feet, it not only stayed in tact but after thoroughly looking it over, there wasn't even a scratch.We have also carried the 1 gallon bottle by the lid handle for long hikes while full of gatorade and still no issues. I explained in my first review how excellent their customer service is, but now after personally witnessing the durability of the 1 gallon version while nearly full of water makes me all the more pleased I invested in a second, larger Vitscan water bottle.

Personally, the idea of it is awesome. The basic design and wording works more for me than most others since it’s common to find overly feminine styles, Graphics, colors and wording. I don’t do “girlie” and I don’t want super manly either. Basic works. So the color and concept is good.Problems and things I’ve found that I didn’t like is the size of the lid opening. No way could I scrub the interior by hand so anything much more than lemon juice and water isn’t gonna happen. Also, the placement of the opening isn’t conducive to “getting the last drop” as the straw CANNOT finish it off. It does most but the last gulp or two is impossible to just uncap and chug because it’s design being in center versus offset. The twist pattern where the lid threads is weak on the bottle itself. The lid works wonderfully and I really LOVE the straw and sucker design with the cap guard and stuff. Although, the loop on the lid is useless as you do NOT want to trust holding a bottle full by this as the threading of the bottle will allow the bottle to fall out of the lid. It’s very VERY temperamental on latching well. I’ve had far too many instances of messes due to the lid not securing properly. Mine, when strongly threaded (which occurred for the first 5 times or so) didn’t “look” secure as the make is a bit off so it’s cockeyed a smidge. OCD part of me hates it but the lazy part won’t bother buying another right now and I’m sure it’s past return possibilities. After those initial secure, unleakable times, it became impossible to secure. The lid would start to get tight then immediately unlatch and spin again easily. Some days, latching is just not happening. Other days, I might can get it once but don’t THINK about trying to refill it and have it work successfully again.Size wise, I went a little crazy with the gallon jug. I think hindsight 2020, I should have just picked 1/2 gallon size as lugging around a full gallon can be taxing when I’m carrying everything else known to man and having to balance it precariously so it won’t leak everywhere.

Love this jug for working out and road trips. Can fill it up and it latest me the whole work out plus if I need to do anything else that day. The only reason I use it for mainly work out sessions or road trippin is because the drink does not stay cold all day like a Yeti etc. So if you have a long drive this container is great for the family to fill up drink cups on the go with out spending money on water bottles that are bad for the earth.

I’m always skeptical when I buy things from no name brands off amazon. Who the heck knows what you’ll actually get when it arrives. I was presently surprised when this bottle arrived! It’s a sturdy plastic, it’s been dropped a few times from short distances and hasn’t broken. The straw is easy to use and has great flow. It seals great when you put the spout down so I don’t have to worry about leaking when it’s rolling around on the floor in my car. The handle is super comfortable to hold while drinking. The only thing that I see becoming a problem is the white handle on the top, it’s super thin plastic and I feel like one swift whack to that will just break it off. All in all it’s a great bottle for those who need to lug around a gallon of water!Oh and yes the top marking says 120oz but if you look just north of that there is a “1 Gal” mark as well AND if you fill it up to the lid you actually have 138 oz of water. So those haters who want to say it’s not actually a gallon can go suck a salmon... buy it!!
