I have no where to plug the rice cooker other than behind the fridge which needs a long cord to reach it.** A: Not long enough for that, but a simple extension cord (it is a two prong plug) will fix that. He read the direction hit the button and checked it around 15 minutes later and it was on warm. It was done. It makes a good four cups and rice comes out great. The little pan it is in is so easy to pull out and clean and just put back in. This is one of the best kitchen items I have gotten. After a week of using this, I bought 4 more for Christmas presents and will include the rice.
