Rubens Barn Baby Dolls Collection, Max

I got this doll for my 1.5 year old daughter. Its a bit large for her but she loves it anyway. My 4 year old son even likes Max. The doll is adorable, excellent quality and has a comforting weighted feel! I love that it offers more than other traditional soft dolls. The doll can suck its thumb, take a pacifier, stick out its tongue and its even anatomically correct. The hair is also very cute and super soft.The only thing I was bummed about is that the doll arrived in a different outfit then shown. The doll we received did not come with a diaper and was in a romper. If it wasn't for that mix up my rating would be 5 stars. Just be aware that it may come with different clothing.

We bought Max for our 2 year old son who wanted a baby who "looked like him" (anatomically correct). We weren't disappointed! This little doll is extremely detailed, especially for a cloth doll. The little mouth is so cute and holds our son's Wubanub pacifier he used as a baby. It can also "drink" from a real baby bottle (empty of course). His body is perfect for cuddling. I even find myself cuddling with him when he's been left out on the couch. If you're considering a Ruben's Barn baby, consider no longer-these are worth the high price! So ADORABLE!

Very cute, anatomically correct, nice size. Only thing wrong is the nipples came unstitched right away. I don't have time to stitch them. My 12 yo actually wanted another one so she and her little brothers could play together. Of course playing dolls with boys is a little crazy. Nobody was rough with it though. I think the nipples came unstitched the first day.

UPDATE: 11/15/2016: I bought my Rubens Barn dolls in Germany, when my 6 year old was just an infant. I saw them at a Christmas market and I had them put up in her closet until a week ago. I only let her touch them a few times throughout the years, because of the price, I wanted her to make sure she took care of them. Finally, at 6 she is really into dolls and appreciates these beautiful baby dolls. I love that they are anatomically correct and washable. Diaper comes with Velcro and has a belly button and nipples. The thumbs can go in their mouths. The hair is soft. The doll is a awesome size, very realistic.I gave these dolls five stars at first, but I noticed today the boy doll (max) has a seam coming loose on his hands. Molly, the girl - has a seam that came loose in her mouth, so we can't let her tongue stick out any longer. I'll have to find a way to sew/fix it, but I'm really disappointed in the low quality of these dolls. I can no longer recommend them, especially because of the price, I have never washed them, my daughter has played with them maybe 10 days TOTAL. Bummer.Original review: These dolls are the cutest dolls you will find. I stumbled across these when I lived in Germany. They are so expensive, though. But, I splurged and bought them for my daughter. Their little tongues can stick out, they can suck their thumb, he is anatomically correct, has a cute belly button and chubby butt cheeks. lol These are the cutest! I didn't like the green outfit, however, and so the lady I bought them from let me switch it to blue. These are honestly the cutest things EVER! They are large and heavy, too. I would totally recommend these and they ARE worth it!
