Laid nice beads and tig welded stainless nicely
Did really well, for 3 days. Laid nice beads and tig welded stainless nicely, but then for no reason just stopped having any amps. Second tweco (thermal arc), still have the other after years with no issues. Returned.

sweet welder
this welder kicks butt! I wish it could do some AC tig and had a pedal option. Otherwise the regular DC TIG, MIG and stick functions work well. I had to put it on its own 20 amperage breaker for the stick welding. I don't suggest going above 30 amp breaker with 10g wire. I have it on an individual 20amp 110v with 12g wire seems to do ok pop it once and a while.(long stick welds) Overall these 3 in 1 welders are really cool just needs a plasma cutter and AC TIG function and it would be the ULTIMATE!!! great for the price

But the machine itself is great..
the only problem that i had was the manufactor gives vague instructions on the proper wire size to use. it says use 20amp breaker but the tech rep said to use3/16 rod use 30amp with 10awg wire ,so i had to rewire my shed to 10gage and 30amp. I WANT THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THIS STUFF TO BE CLEAR ON WIRING not to be lead in the wrong direction. THE INSTALATION OF THE MACHINE AND WIRING COULD BE CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! But the machine itself is great...........

Will do what you want, and do it for a long time.
Great little welder. has done everything it claims it can do plus a little more. It Has never shut off on high temp. I have not used the TIG yet but the mig with .030 does what you want. the stick with 3/32 -- 6013 is very forgiving. 6011 works good just practice and keep a tight ark. 6010 will stick alot alot. 7018 ran real nice. Now that im wired for 220 volts I wish I bought the 181 for thicker metal but the 141 will do what you want and I think will do it for a long time. if you have a problem your asking to much from 120 volts or its you.

I love it.
This TWECO 141i is so nice. First off...TWECO is a subsidiary of Victor Welding which has been making torches forever and a day. The Tweco name is a new name change from the old Thermal Arc brand. Same welders....same excellent quality and support. It also has a good warranty from a company which you know will be around in 3 years. Thats a lot more than can be said for many of the cheaper Chinese knock offs. OK...now for how well it works. I haven't had a chance to use the stick welder aspect of it nor have I used the Tig yet. And in all honesty...The Tig will be a learning process for me. I have only been using the Flux Cored 0.35 wire for now. And I must say...its just a pleasure to use it. I have used migs in the past and purchased my first mig in 1989. It was a Snap On YA 205 which was made by Century Welders for Snap On. I can honestly say, it has been a decent mig welder providing you ignored its pulse and stitch capabilities which had a tendency to blow the circuit boards. Thats said...I still have it and it works OK. But I wanted a small lightweight welder which I could use on 120 volt household circuits. This TWECO 141i fits the bill. Furthermore, this has a fantastic mig stinger gun. Its so much better...all heavy duty...all Tweco brand consumables. This little welder lays down an awesome weld IMO....just hums and buzzes that sweet sound with no popping with great penetration and very little burn through when welding light grade tubing. As far as body work...I'm sure I'll need to go with gas and solid wire @ .023....but for what I wanted it for now...its just a joy to use. But the all metal drive assy along with a good stinger gun is what makes the difference IMO.

Great welder. Holds up to abuse.
I bought this welder 2 years ago. I has been used extensively. MIG: built 3 trailers and probably a couple hundred miscellaneous repairs on machines.. Stick: hardfaced dozens of loader and backhoe buckets, repaired aluminum dump bodies and even welded traffic plates. We haven't used TIG on this machine. Although, I've done it on the smaller Tweco 181i a few times with success. We don't give it clean power. We mostly run it off an old diesel generator. This machine has probably gone through the equivalent of 20 years of abuse in its 2 short years with us. The guy who is assigned this welder is a complete slob. I have found it left outside in the rain several times. He constantly spills oil on it. Every time it's lifted, oil drips out the bottom. It has been dropped several times, as panels are bent and plastic is broken. It's scratched all over. He must use it an anvil because there are impact marks on top. The only time I have ever replaced a part was the trigger switch, but I think it corroded because water got inside. I wouldn't be surprised if he left the trigger sitting in a puddle of water. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

Poor service
This is a garbage welder. Mine says ESAB on the side. Been trying to get Esab to take care of my warranty claim for about 2 years now, no success. It’s a glorified stick welder is all it is. Mine doesn’t do tig or mig how it is right now, but that’s due to no one honoring their warranty claim. Tell esab that there’s a sticking relay in one of their machines, and they tell you to scram. I won’t waste another dime on ESAB equipment. Poor service and false advertising.
