Q: Will this hold 2 spare rolls of toilet paper?

I use a large roll of paper towels on mine. It will hold 2 spare rolls of toilet paper, if that is what you want to use it for.

Q: Does it hold a large roll of Bounty paper towels?

It almost holds the large roll; I usually have to use a couple of the first few towels before it fits in the base.

Q: Is the color more of a dark espresso/bronze in person or a lighter brownish color? A review picture would be helpful :).

Good question. The base color is a medium brown with lighter accents in the crevices. Brown like bronze, not black like iron

Q: Is there a slot for the paper towel in the base

Yes, there is a slot in the base for paper towel. However, it is difficult to use the slot to tear the paper towel without tipping the whole thing over. The base needs to be made of a heavier material in order for the slot to work.
