I have quite a few coffee drippers: a Chemex, a glass V60, a ceramic V60, a stainless steel V60 with fine mesh (so you're not supposed to need a filter). They all work great except for that last one (which is horrible - it gets clogged after every use no matter the grind and no matter how well you clean it). But, all of those are too bulky for camping, so I wanted to try this one out. And I've got to say, it's perfect. It's light, it's compact, and it does the job well. I even use the same 02 V60 filters that I use for everything else. Also, I never brew just one cup at a time (my wife and I drink at least a cup and a half each), meaning when I make coffee with this thing I'm making a full pot. That's right, it can handle large batches so long as you are careful (it'll drip out the side a bit at first if you don't start slow. I know it's just a simply formed piece of stainless steel, but it's design is perfect and it's quality is good. And, it's become a huge improvement to our camping gear. Oh, and it doesn't slip off the jar, or mug, or whatever.
