Easy to read and understand.
Easy to read recipes. I would suggest to the author to have definitions of the words so they don't have to be looked up. Since the are several recipes with identical names, they need to be different to be easier to look up which one you want. Some ingredients need explained. This book is written to make cooking simple.

Repeats
It would be nice to classify the recipes as "entrees", "deserts", "relishes", etc.Have not tried the recipes yet; I look forward to trying many. They all seem easy to make. Many are variations of the same. Also, the ingredients are the same in many recipes - no variety. Maybe that's Russian Babushka cooking?

Very general recipes with lots of repeats.
For people who are not familiar with Eastern European cuisine this book is ok. But in real life recipes are little different. It’s not customized like they advertise. It’s preaty general. Besides, a lot of recipes are repeating each other with minimal or no difference.

Great, easy to follow recipe book
Got third for my 11 year-old daughter for Christmas; she absolutely adores ight and we love the traditional Russian food we are now able to enjoy at home! There are some spelling/grammar errors, but that is just fine for us!

Very poor quality book, can't comment on the recipes.
Very amateur production values, there is no introduction and, worse, no descriptions of the recipes, so the only way to find out what you might be cooking is to read through the recipe and try to work it out for yourself! The lack of any illustrations only makes this problem worse. The book is also full of mis-spellings and random capitalisations. It is clearly self-published, but I would overlook these things if it were for sale at a more realistic price, but it is simply too expensive for a book of this low quality. Maybe the recipes are the best Russia has to offer (although I'm surprised that recipes that go back many generations feature Worcestershire sauce and concentrated tomato soup??) sadly, I won't be finding out, as I'm returning this book.
