It is NOT attached to the vacuum innards. That cord is only about 8 to 12 inches long. The cord is held together with a rubber loop connector that prevents it from pulling apart. I do not know what kind of cubic foot per minute (CFM) the vacuum produces, but it's adequate for my wood floors. The Hoover motor is a 120-volt, 60 HZ, 8.5 amp motor. If my high school physics memory is correct, volts X amps equals watts, so it's a 1,020 watt motor. While vacuuming, I also use an FM radio/MP3 Player noise-canceling headset I got for Christmas last year. It came from Home Depot for $29. It works fine and protects my hearing. I use it when blowing leaves, power spraying, operating my table and miter saws, etc. Hope this helps. **Q: it is good for carpet too oh just hardwood floors? can some one answer my question thanks** A: Actually in conjunction with the right vacuum head, they are great for carpets. YOu want to search for a turbo or turbine vac headhttps://smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=node%3D3743741&field-keywords=turb **Q: Can this vacuum cleaner use other Hoover vac attachments (i.e. a carpet rotating/cleaning attachment)? :-)** A: At work I use this vacuum with a sidewinder attachment. Cen-Tec Systems 68877 Telescopic Sidewinder Vacuum Wand It's very useful especially for corners and edges **Q: Can it pick up bits of sand without becoming damaged?** A: I would imagine so. This machine is a beast. Very powerful and has picked up many other types of debris at my home - ranch / lots of dirt. You'll be pleased with it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Hoover Commercial Shoulder Vac Pro Backpack Bagged Vacuum Cleaner, with HEPA Media Filter, Lightweight with Extra Long Cord, Chiropractic Design, for Carpet and Hard Floors, C2401, Black - BP BAG FOR C2401 BACKPACK #1KE2103000 or 401000BP - Filter For Hoover Bagless Backpack Vacuum C2401 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/357141127-commercial-lightweight-backpack-baggged-vacuum-cleaner-lightweight-for-carpet-hard](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/357141127-commercial-lightweight-backpack-baggged-vacuum-cleaner-lightweight-for-carpet-hard) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
