Works great, easy to handle, light weight, quiet, and doesn't damage my bowls.
First one arrived quickly, but the slots for the beaters were mis-aligned, so the right beater wouldn't stay in place, and they would hit each other, making an awful noise until the right one would come out, which happened after less than a minute of use. The other attachments worked fine, as they wouldn't hit against each other, even though the slots were mis-aligned. Contacted Krups, they instructed me to return to Amazon. Contacted Amazon, return process was easy, and they shipped a new mixer out immediately, without waiting for me to ship the old one back. They credited my account w/the return as soon as they received it, and the new one works GREAT. Love it, is great for doing a quick, small batch of something without getting out my giant 6 qt KA stand mixer, I had no problems with the placement of the button, as other reviewers have complained. Perhaps it's because I have several other appliances that place buttons in similar position, for quick access with the thumb or index finger, like my immersion blender, curling iron, toothbrush, vacuum cleaner, etc. It is quiet, power levels are more than adequate, and the rubber coating on the beaters is the best feature. It allows me to use the mixer in my stoneware bowls w/out fear of chipping or scratching, or making a lot of noise, and it doesn't scratch up my steel & plastic bowls, either. Like having the bottom that holds all the accessories & cord, too. Makes it easy & neat to stand & store in the cupboard or on wire shelves in my pantry. I also love that it's so light. I have arthritis in my wrists, elbows & hands, and this is much easier to use for a few min w/out having to switch hands than my old one, due to the lighter weight.

Very Quiet for a Mixer
My wife complained about how loud her mixer was. So, I looked on the internet and found this was rated as one of the quietest ones. It has 10 different mixing speeds which is awesome, as that cuts down on the splatter going from low to high. It also slows to a stop so, again, it will allow you to left the beaters out without spraying everywhere. The rubber jacket on the beaters is great as that cuts down on a lot of noise.I'm really surprised that it doesn't have an adequate mechanism to rest it on the edge of a mixing bowl, and getting all the accoutrements and cord back into the storage bin can feel like a game of Tetris, but I do like the ability to keep them all together. You'll also need to be careful to watch out for the two different plastic gear inserts--one is gray and one is black. Sometimes these come off and if you lose them then you're out of luck using your mixer.Overall it's a good mixer and well built.

The Krups Hand Mixer is Perfect
I just received this hand mixer today and immediately made a blueberry cakebread that calls for both mixing egg whites and to mix the main, heavier batter. The Krups handled both tasks with no problem. The mixer is well designed, with a swivel cord that allows the mixer to rest on its heel when not in use.The control features allow the user to mix while simultaneously increasing/decreasing speed, hit pause, and turn the mixer on or off -- all with one hand. It has a very low noise level. I love the idea of silicon-coated beaters, and used them to scrape the sides of the bowl. I was planning on purchasing a similar mixer from another name brand, at almost 3 times the price of the Krups. That brand was out-of-stock on Amazon so I "setted" for the Krups. I'm so glad I did. A reviewer of this product was unhappy that the silicon beaters did not cut through cookie dough, but the manual clearly states to use the dough hooks for heavier batters and dough. I have not used the dough hooks yet, but I expect they will be just fine. If not, I'll just drag out the Kitchen Aid 5 quart mixer. This hand mixer is exactly what I wanted.

Has a few flaws but I’m keeping it for now
I read a bunch of reviews before purchasing this mixer, and rolled my eyes at some of the reviewers comments/complaints. Here’s my take after the the first day of use:It is an extremely quiet mixer. The mixer does feel heavy, please keep in mind I am a 34 y/o waitress who carries many plates stacked along my arms all day. My arm was tired after creaming butter and sugar for 5 minutes, this surprised me!The coated beaters do a fantastic job scraping the bowl while mixing, but also kick the bowl around...please keep in mind I was using a stainless steel bowl with non-skid bottom, and the bowl was still jumping around while I was holding on to it.Now this brings me to the placement of the on off button and the pause button placement - awful. I managed to turn off and pause the mixer multiple times, while consciously try not to.I had no problem attaching or ejecting the beaters, but I also took 2 minutes to read the user manual, which has a few tips illustrated. Conclusion: I’m going to keep it for now, not awful, but also no ideal. I suppose it’ll do until I can purchase a stand mixer.
