Review: Good product - Enterococcus faecium Enterococcus faecium strains were isolated from an original biotope, artisanal dried Tunisian meat “Dried Ossban,” and evaluated for safety and capacity as probiotics. Gram-positive, catalase negative, and bacteriocin-producing bacteria were screened using selective microbiological media. All isolates were identified by phenotypic and molecular tools. Five E. faecium strains (MZF1, MZF2, MZF3, MZF4, and MZF5) were selected and further assessed for their probiotic properties. They were found to be resistant to the physiological concentrations of bile salts, and the harsh conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, and showed autoaggregation and adhesion ability. All these isolates possess at least one enterocin and could efficiently inhibit the growth of Listeria innocua HPB13. The analysis of their safety profile revealed for almost all the strains the absence of cytotoxicity and virulence determinants, and susceptibility to clinically important antibiotics such as vancomycin. These data suggest that these bacteria, isolated from “Dried Ossban,” do not present a risk to human health, and may be considered as interesting candidates for future use as probiotics and bioprotective cultures for application in the food and/or feed industries.

**Q: Is this product refrigerated until shipment?**
A: No, I don't think so. It does not require refrigeration. Mine sits out on my counter.

**Q: Are there any products with clostriduim butyricum without milk derived lactose?**
A: None as far as I am aware. However, Art Ayers ( coolinginflammation.com ) recommends fermentation ( with a book recommendation here on Amazon:  http://www.amazon.com/Fermented-Vegetables-Creative-Fermenting-Chutneys/dp/1612124259/ref=as_sl_pc_qf_sp_asin_til?tag=coolininflam-20&linkCode=w00&linkId=RWNLGSAV5BJEY6AR&creativeASIN=1612124259 ) of organic produce (read: farmer's market vetted, or organically grown from your own garden) to allow the naturally occurring SBO's to propagate with the naturally occurring prebiotic resistant starches to better colonize, or allow DNA crossover in existing colon bacteria, and promote natural butyric acid production-which is why the Cl. butyricum is in your probiotic capsules.

**Q: It would be great if OrthoMolecular would please put a formulation out that has Clostridium Butyricum, and no other probiotics.  Will you?**
A: The answers are not applicable to this product.
AOR has pulled a sneaky stunt and is flat-out lying.
They claim "same formula" and "new style label" this is simply a lie!
The bacteria formula is not even similar and is now different strains.
The new formula now contains a Lactose derived stain and may cause problems to those with Lactose sensitivity.
The posting is essentially review hijacking from the previous product.
