A lot of effort and elbow grease for minimal improvement and left some areas dirtier than when I started. A lot of rinsing required. May be ok for small job. But I personally feel like I wasted my money and 2 hrs of my life Review: I used the brick cleaner to clean the bed. I already cleaned the walls with a mix of vinagre, soap and water. The bed area was very dirty and the fireplace insert was seating right on it (it protruded from the wall). The water mixture helped but I needed something a bit stronger but not sting enough to create fumes and destroy the brick. This product removed a lot of dirt. You can see on the 2nd picture that I still have stains. I don’t think I can remove them without destroying the brick. I’m happy with the results. The product was nice to work with, no unpleasant odors. Actually, I didn’t smell anything. My fireplace with the new insert looks nice, very farmhouse style (not the style of the room lol). It looks used without being dirty. I’m happy with the cleaner. It did a good job. I use a blue scotch pad to clean the brick. We purchased to clean a firebox and brick surround in anticipation of a new wood stove installation. This had never been scrubbed before. We scrubbed (using a drill with scrubber that matched the stiffness of the included brush) and we were a bit disappointed with the result. We will give it second go around though (and the directions do say this might be needed for heavy stains), but we were hoping for more.
