I knew i wouldn't be getting some crazy expensive custom made case, but for the $50 I spent on this and $70 for the bigger flat case, I'm very satisfied. There was one TINY blemish/crack in the lacquer on the bigger case on the top right corner from the same brand, but I just filled it with some minwax crayon and it blended in so good that you can't see it unless you know it's there and look closely. But it must've happened in shipment and I didn't want to take a chance on getting anything worse.I must say, the two cases were packed as good or better than ANYTHING I've EVER received in the mail. LOTS of care went into packaging it and making sure ut got here in mint condition, and the craftsmanship of the wood, stain and lacquer exceeded my expectations for something like this from Amazon. So I am super satisfied. I just wish I had a better place to display them than their current location, but that'll change eventually.Oh, ONE note though. The dimensions are WRONG in 3 of the 4 places. It's listed in numerous places as being 6.25" or 6.5" tall, which would make it the EXACT same size as my old cheapo pleather case, which was CRUCIAL for my wallets to fit properly in the bottom compartment, as I seeked this out specifically after a LENGTHY search since I've been wanting to do this upgrade for years now. But when I got it, it's only 6" tall, and the bottom drawer height is ONLY 2.5" instead of the 3"+ i needed. So I ordered the larger 24 slot, flat case too, and planned on sending this back. Well, as fate would go, ALL of my 100 +/- shell cordovan wallets fit into the larger 24 slot case, and I had already given my cousin my old pleather case. So to have a matching set, I kept both and put ALL of my non-shell wallets in the TOP of this, and some of my favorite watches in the bottom. So in the end it worked out PERFECTLY and better than I could've ever planned. But to have the WRONG dimensions in 3 out of 4 places really PIS#ED me off. Fortunately, after everything was said and done, I'm extremely happy to have both and the Red Mahogany finish and lacquer is just extraordinary for something from Amazon. Especially for $120 for BOTH. The hardware is very nice and accents the red wood perfectly. And the dual hinges are super sturdy too.For anyone on the fence about this vs something cheaper with either inferior wood OR pleather aka "vegan" leather, i suggest spending the extra coin, and you'll be happier in the long run. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect gift *by L***O on June 8, 2025* Got it for husband birthday.
