The covering is a thick Vinyl/Fake Leather and is pretty durable. I've been using mine once or twice a week for almost two years and they still look almost new. No tears or anything like that Also the foam hasn't compressed or malformed or anything like that. I deadlift at least 400lb up to 450-500 or so consistently. **Q: can they be stacked for vaulting and landing?** A: Please read the dimensions and specs.
