Review: Please arrange to block ambient light. - The first night it did not turn on, because of string lights around the porch. So I ty-rapped a black plastic Folgers coffee can lid to the AC cord, to hang in front of the photosensor. Then it worked great: on at dusk, off at dawn.

I have landscape lights that I use not only for decor but also for security. This unit gives me the option to set a specified run time or as I prefer, automatically dusk to dawn. It is compact and so far very accurate. Set up was as simple as plugging it in and turning a dial. I would have preferred a longer power cord but the one attached was acceptable.
