An absolute winner!
The Fluke Networks LinkSprinter 200 is an absolute winner. I picked this up when it first came out and Amazon was offering it at a promo rate for $250.00. At $300.00 it is a steal for what it's worth, so at $250.00 I made out like a bandit. The unit does exactly what it says it does, 5 tests in the palm of your hand. Testing Network Nodes has never been easier...no more lugging laptops around node to node or worrying about dropping it. Plug it in and within 10 seconds you know if you have POE, Connection, DHCP, Gateway Access and Internet Access....perfect!!!! It also emails you a report on successful connections and logs them to the cloud for viewing later. With the 200 you get WiFi access so I have access to real-time data such as POE voltage, ping times, router/switch type, VLAN status, etc...Not only is the product a winner but their customer service is even better! I was on a job site one day testing network nodes running through a MikroTik router and ran into some weird issues on the app when connected via WiFi. I didn't even think anything of it other than something was wrong, actually blamed my phone which is usually the culprit for most things. 2 Days later I receive an email from Fluke Tech Support apologizing for the errors that I was having and asking some information about the nodes being tested...I didn't even reach out to them...they reached out to me. With my help they were able to identify a software bug when working with MikroTik routers and I just have been notified it has been corrected in the latest build...this is top quality support.Highly recommend this for any technician, small business or corporate environment where you test network nodes on a semi regular basis. I can't wait to pickup the WiFi Tester in the future! Great job Fluke!

I wanted to love this, but it wasn't right for me
I tried out the LinkSprinter 200 a couple of months ago, and was pretty impressed with the ease of use of the unit, and the online reporting. However, i ended up sending the unit back. I can't justify $300 for something that basically just confirms DHCP, Presence of POE, and switch / port info. I was hoping for cable diagnostics, length estimation, failure analysis. I know that these are features more common in the more expensive linkrunner series, but for a device like this to be worth $300 to me, and for it to not have any sort of screen, i want more than what's included. I also thought the wifi seemed like a cool idea, but in practice it was more trouble than it's worth. If it gave me realtime access to extra troubleshooting information, or something more than I got in an email anyway it might have been better.

They should erect a bronze statue of this device!
OVERVIEWThis has to be one of the most useful devices I've ever purchased. The ability to test not only link signals, but pings, find the DHCP server, use the DNS information to find the gateway, and then ping a website! They should erect a bronze statue of this device! Operation was dead simple to use and the integration of the WiFi hotspot (the 200 model) to see the actual data is absolutely amazing. You can work throughout a building with a patch cable, an iPhone, and the LinkSprinter 200. Each test is presented to your phone's screen and sent back to the Fluke cloud.MY STORYNOTE: No laptops were dragged around the building during the testing of this customer's site! ;)I recently upgraded the core switching environment to 1 Gig in an old building. After the upgrade we proceeded to test each LAN connection using the LinkSprinter 200. Each port was tested, presenting the link status, DHCP, speed, and the port's ability to reach the Internet. The iPhone allowed us to actually see which port on the switch we were connected to and ping times to the Internet; plus a host of other data: MAC, switch name, etc. One of the major areas that was highlighted for us was the quality of some of the older cable drops. A few connections showed open pairs or incorrect pin outs; 1 Gig is a little more sensitive. While the LinkSprinter didn't show me the exact problem pairs when a test failed or the speeds didn't match, we knew more investigation was warranted. We then used a cable pin out tester to confirm problem pairs. We retested the connections, and as each test was conducted with the LinkSprinter 200, each test was sent to the cloud.RESULTSAt the end of the night, I had 91 new entries in my LinkSprinter Cloud; all the details included. With a 2 person team we tested and performed remediation of an 83,000 sq ft building spread over 3 floors in under 4 hours! 5 Star device.SUGGESTIONFor Fluke: add a real pair test feature, maybe a model 300? This device would literally become a Swiss army knife of copper wire testing!!!

Lightweight and durable Network Tester
Very handy device for checking link status on ports. I can see results immediately on my iPhone, which I like. This function does require that I connect to the LinkSprinter device, which only takes a few seconds. In my situation this device gives me all the information I need, which is: Link, PoE, Gateway, DHCP, Switch. The LED lights on the device quickly tells you the areas of concern. The reason I did not give this device a 5 star rating is due to its cost.

The 300 series is much better. It gives you cable length and that helps without having to do other things when determining issues with cable distance. I can capture screen shots and email them to my help desk while out in the field. i cam prove test results without debate. That saves time and switch port information saves times. I'm more then happy with the device. I will suggest flipping one of batteries when the device is in your tech Bag. Helps ensure its not on accidentally while stored in your bag. Great purchase.
