Over the last two years or so, I have been struggling with my on and off relationship with Sciatica. In January this year, I had an MRI done and the doctors found that I had two herniated discs, the L5 and S1. This is due to genetics, weight, and my job (constant up and down, fast pace, etc). So my uncle (retired doctor) told me to look into a back brace. I surfed amazon to find something with higher rated reviews. I came across this one and gave it a try.PROS:-More Velcro for better structure and support.-Sizing (I am plus size).-Breathable.-Covers whole core and lower back.-Excellent lumbar support.CONS:-The plastic bars in the brace break after a while.-It folds (not too bad).-Makes back/armpit fat more prominent (which is not important if you want to be comfortable, more of a vanity issue).-Not constructed for those that have a third gut (which is not the company's problem, but our own).Overall, if you want something that is size accurate, which is really important for online shoppers such as myself, and has good form, this would be the best bet. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the lack of longevity of the product (I have to replace every 1 1/2 months or so).I was not offered a discount or free product for this review. I am an honest customer with an honest review. Thank you.

I am a 5 foot 9 , 270 pound woman, I bought this because I have a herniated disk in my lower back. My two fears of buying this were will the brace roll when sitting down and the other was will the wrap around straps stick when wearing it all day. After wearing it for one full day I am happy to say there was no rolling in the front from sitting down and the wrap around straps held very tight. I did have one issue with it (And that’s why I only gave it 4 stars) there are two thick plastic supports towards the back of the brace, one on the right and one on the left. The stitching came loose on one of them and it was poking me. I am posting a picture so you will know what I’m talking about. I can say that it helped with my lower back pain a little, not as much as I hoped. The second picture is another area where the supports are located and the stitching came loose. ( just noticed it) May see about getting this replaced.

This thing worked WONDERS on my back! I haven't felt this good in years! Use this correctly and it will get you back to health or save you from further injuries. It caused little discomfort, I always used it over a plain T-shirt or Polyester moisture-wick shirt to prevent skin irritation and sweating.My biggest suggestion as a former medical professional, use it sparingly! I wore it for a few hours at a time, then took it off for a few hours, back and forth making sure to never keep it on for longer than what was needed. Keeping it on helped me straighten out my back, and removing it allowed my muscles to workout and keep my back straight.Do not overuse! you do not want to have to use physical therapy to rebuild lower back muscles... 2 weeks of non-stop use could mean months of rehabilitation.

Long story short I was sitting on my friends old couch and after a while my back twisted and I felt a sharp pain in my back. I got up and the pain worsened as I drove home. I could not sleep because of the pain and this pain lasted for several days before I researched back braces. I bought this and after wearing it from the time I wake up until the time go to bed for an entire week. The pain is gone and my back feels great. My posture has improved as well. I forgot to wear the back brace one day and my back felt back to its normal self of being pain free. I continue to wear the back brace most days because it just feels real good to wear it. I cannot think of anything negative to say about my experience with this back brace. Its a high quality product that really works.

I have never gone back to review any product EVER, and I order a lot of stuff! That being said, there was no way I could not share my experience with this brace. It is nothing short of amazing! I am not exaggerating in the slightest. I did not have very high expectations as I have many back issues and have used other braces and noticed only minimal relief. I have now worn this brace for three consecutive days of 6hour natural stone wall building- I am a landscaper, and I feel great. Without the brace I would be miserable and immobile at this point. Do not hesitate to buy it! It is a bit higher than other braces I have used and I was not really that happy about it on day one when I first put it on but I am a believer now. Never in the 16 years I have worked in the field have I found a brace that actually eliminated my back fatigue and locking facets of my vertebrae. Amazing!

Velcro is weak! Kept opening all the time. Its a damn shame cause otherwise it could've been something great. I have two herniated disks and its important to buy something that actually works.

I suffer from low-back pain which also extends to pain in my hip and upper leg. I do lots of exercises learned in physical therapy to control the pain but felt I needed something to support my back for the rest of the day. I saw Aid-Brace Back Brace Support Belt and compared the various reviews of it and of other similar belts. I measured my waist and used that to choose Medium and it is a perfect fit. It is easy to put on and to get the Velcro closures exactly where you want for a firm and comfortable fit. The height of the brace is just right. It fits just under the ribs and doesn't poke or feel like something is jabbing into your side. It fits as a smooth, firm belt, as it should. The support and light pressure it gives to my back is better than a hot bath! For the reasonable price it is worth every penny. Thank you, AidBrace for designing such a great support belt!

I choise this belt after buying and returning another make, as I was unable to find the correct size .This is fantastic. The fit of L/XL is ideal for me , with a large range of adjustment within each size, depending how tight/ firm you want the support.The belt is extremely well made, with THREE bands of Velcro strap to fix- left, right then final right fixing. It can easily be worn over or under a shirt .Originally I looked at a trendy support belt marketed for fly fisherman. Almost double the price and not as good.I don't know if it's psychosomatic but my back feels a little better after one day! NoPain when leaning over to brush my teeth.Look no further - just but it.

Helped me through a very painful time! Fitted well and gave good support enabling me to carry on working almost pain free. Just having it on reminded me to move, lift and turn with care also encouraged good posture.

Back brace,gives good support to lower back and improves posture.would have gave it five stars but for the overlap part at the front is about six inches to long, and does not connect to the Velcro the way it should,this leaves part of the outside brace without any support.In my opinion another six inches of Velcro would solve this,and make the support brace a lot neater.James

Wir haben den Stützgurt für unseren Umzug gekauft, damit der Rücken nicht so sehr belastet wird. Hat uns auf jeden Fall einige Schmerzen erspart. Super!
