Review: Beechlane means simplicity Saved my fridge - Wow cannot say enough about this beechlane fan, came with everything in order to install it on the access door to my rv fridge as well as mounting brackets . Super clean super easy to operate and so silent. Within an hour of installing this the back of my rv fridge was 10 deg. Cooler even in the hot arizona summer and I could already see it was making a difference on my absorption fridge. Well made the wire connections worked easily to connect and reconnect and the controller worked flawaless. After a dry run i ran the controller inside so that i could make future fan adjustments from inside the coach. I then proceeded to install another fan at the top due to how large the void behind the fridge was and let me tell you we are moving some air now. Thank you again beechlane so glad i chose you.
Review: Blows out warm air like a hurricane on high! - After last couple years of anxiously dealing with Dometic absorption fridge not getting below 45-46° F during heat waves (outside temp 90° and higher), decided to give this a go. I've read about numerous homebrew solutions, but this one has everything you need, and most importantly, speed/on-off has a smart thermostat controller, which is important to save power when off grid. The guarantee and North Carolina HQ, and reports of good customer service sealed the deal. 5/3/25 edit: Some time in first year of use, the lights on controller started acting up. Two of the lights for fan speed percentage would not light, and light for temperature setting 80° stayed on. Have to say customer service was great. Jack at Beech Lane got back to me within 24 hours of my message (no phone number, just a messaging system on their website). He expedited shipping to me a new fan system. New controller works fine. I cracked open old controller and could not see any visible issues with wiring or circuit board. Something on the circuit board went bad. All good now, they really do stand behind their products and I now have all 3 of their fridge fan systems. 5+ stars on account of good customer service. The DC power easily taps into plastic terminal block as seen in photo, and they give you plenty of wire length to route things just the way you want. One word of caution (and it's explained in the listing) to make sure you have clearance behind the louvre to mount the fan. I eyeballed it and thought I had enough, but the louvres really are thick when you look at it from the edge. My fans are right up against the condenser coil fins on the back of the fridge, which does make the louvre bow out slightly as seen in the pics, but I don't think will be an issue. Operation tested and works great, I think this will be what I need to keep fridge in safe 38°-40° range during heat waves. The real test to see if this solves my problems will be next summer, as it's too cool here to do a true effectiveness test. The only issue I had during install was the 'ice cube' tray design of the louvre vents had a lot of extra plastic where there should not have been coming out of the molds, and I had to trim it with a razor-knife to make the hardware that mounts the fan to the backside of the louvre fit.

## Features

- WATERPROOF HIGH POWER 12V DUAL 5.5" (140mm) ADJUSTABLE VENT FAN IMPROVES COOLING BEHIND FRIDGE - The Beech Lane vent fan features two large 5.5" fans powered by your 12V connection to maximize airflow behind your fridge to increase fridge efficiency and cooling. Smaller fans such as competitor 3.5" (90mm) fans fail to do the job. It works great to clear out the high heat during RV season. **The fans are about 1-1.5" thick - make sure there is enough room for the fans to fit on your vent**
- RE-ENGINEERED STURDY MOUNTING BRACKETS FIT FIT AMERICAN RV VENTS - Unlike other vent fans that only fit European RVs and require zip ties to install, the Beech Lane vent fan has custom mounting brackets for easy installation on American RVs. **The fans are about 1-1.5" thick - make sure there is enough room for the fans to fit on your vent**
- CUSTOM USER-FRIENDLY REMOTE TO CONTROL MANUAL AND AUTO MODES - The vent fan comes equipped with a custom remote giving you full control to choose between a manual and an auto, temperature sensing mode.
- ADJUSTABLE TEMPERATURE AUTO MODE FOR EASY USE - The included temperature probe allows you to pick a temperature that when reached the fan will automatically turn on, gradually increasing speed as the temperature rises above your set temperature.
- LIFETIME MANUFACTURER WARRANTY - If the vent fan ever fails or is damaged, it is covered by a lifetime manufacturer warranty.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Where does it mount?**
A: It attaches to the inside of the vent behind your refrigerator. The purpose of this fan is to draw air from behind your refrigerator and blow it outside of the RV or camper. This helps to keep air moving behind the fridge, allowing your fridge to cool quicker and more efficiently.

**Q: These are 12v fans. But there is a 110 plug in the pictures. What is the 110 plug for? Can this system be used 100% 12v only?**
A: The 110v plug/receptical is for refrigerators that run on 110 volts or propane. There is generally a separate 12v source behind the frig for cooling fan's.

**Q: CFM? DB?**
A: On the highest setting, the fan has around 220CFM. The decibel reading on the lowest setting is around 40DB and on the highest setting is around 67DB. These fans are also installed behind the fridge and therefore muffled even more.

**Q: Can this be mounted so the fan pushes air up? I have a roof top vent for my fridge and was looking at adding this to the bottom grill to draw air in**
A: Yes, it can easily be installed to draw air in. Like you noted, this works well for vents that are low and you're trying to create a draft up to the roof vent. If you have a high side vent, however, it is helpful to have the fan mounted to pull air outside. The brackets come installed to pull air towards the vent. For example, when installed using the brackets, the fan will draw air towards the vent and pushed outside. If you want the fan to pull air from the outside of the vent to the inside, you will need to flip the fan. On each of the ends of the fan there is a metal bracket attached with two hex screws. Simply, unscrew the hex screws, move the bracket to the other side, and screw back in place. When finished installing, the fan draw will then be reversed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Greatly Improves absorption fridge performance
*by M***T on April 6, 2026*

A winner. Installed as exhaust fan to exterior upper fridge vent. So far tested only to 92 degrees. Has held freezer to 0 degrees and fridge to 38 degrees where before we had trouble keeping our refrigerator section to an unsafe 48 degrees during summer heat. On high setting noise from fan negligible. Saved us $$$$ from replacing our 3-way Norcold propane/110v/12v with an inferior 12v only fridge that new RVs are being equiped with. 12v only fridges require either shorepower or expensive upgrades in solar and LiFePro capacity and possibly an inverter. Great for boondocking on propane. Build appears solid with metal frame, ball-bearing fans. Easy installation and excellent wired remote. Worth the investment IMO.
