Review: Highly recommend this product! - I know there are less expensive units and, even though this is the only unit I've owned, I can't imagine the others work as well as this one. I'm the type who'd rather spend a little more for something that lasts and works well than repeatedly buy lesser quallity products. I'm a disabled man who can't stand while using the toilet. I purchased this product due to my bad habit of getting up in the middle of the night and using the bathroom without turning on the light. However I often didn't aim well when I went to sit down, the result of which can be chilling if not dangerous. This product has been a blessing and has definitely improved my life. The product works just as described, the motion sensor works perfectly, I allow it to morph from color to color, and it turns off shortly after I exit. As to power consumption, I purchased this unit on 11/14/17 and just had to replace the batteries for the first time on 5/23/18. I now consider this product a necessity for my needs but, even if I didn't, it's much more pleasant to use the bathroom at night because I avoid the shock I'd experience from my bathroom's bright lighting and can get back to sleep more quickly afterward as a result. If you're considering this type of product, I highly recommend this one. 5/17/19 UPDATE: Received notice from desertcart re: the no. of helpful votes I've gotten for this product. Decided to read some of the reviews and felt I should update mine. I'm on my 3rd set of batteries and haven't experienced any of the issues set out in the negative reviews I read. Mine's as solid and works as well as the day it was purchased, 11/14/17. All products have a failure rate but mine hasn't hit it's yet. 1/7/21 UPDATE: Getting ready to change batteries so thought to update review to say it's still working great! The sensor is pretty sensitive and won't tun on if there's ambient light from the next room, which is nice for battery life! Husband was happy he doesn't need the ceiling light in the middle of the night anymore!

**Q: How close do you have to be to activate the light?**
A: The LumiLux toilet bowl light can be activated from as far as 18 feet away.

**Q: Does it fit all kinds of toilets?**
A: the rim on my toilet seems wider than most and it fits fine. Mine is about 1.5 to 2 inches wide and i was able to bend the light wand to fit it fine.

**Q: Is this waterproof?**
A: NO - The battery contacts inside will rust.  Purchased 3/2019.  It is 12/2020 and mine now just is a red light.  I am unable to do anything with it.
I contacted the company, and without any hassles, they sent me a brand new unit!  I am going to use dialectric grease on the contacts hoping to keep the rust ant bay.

**Q: If I pay for installation, will they put in the batteries as well as hang it in the toilet for me?**
A: If you upgrade one more time for the price of $599 you can get the strobe light option with 4 more colors and even a single battery replacement pack. Not installed of course. Expert installation will be an extra $399. Insane value if you ask me.
