Very nice to use a set - one in each hand ...
I had an older set of two Flonal turners by Westmark - with a shiny brown finish. The edge end was straight with a slight curve to the "bowl" part of the spatula. Very nice to use a set - one in each hand for stir fry or what have you. The new one is nice but not a shiny finish (cleans a little easier). Also, comes as single turner not a set of two so can only get the edge end which is no longer straight but at an angle. It would be nice if had a left handed mate with the opposite angle or was still straight across like the original.

German grandmother has loved the thin well designed handles on Westmark spatulas since before I was born (I'm 35 years old). This newer spatula doesn't look as nice as the older one but it's just as nice to use and it's more durable since there is no thin piece of metal that can break.

Bad angle
The non-stick aspect is good, I do not like the angled end. I am left-handed; the angle was made for right-hand. Bad decision by the designer.

Three Stars
I wish that it came in a larger size. Other than that, it is well-made and NOT from China!

Great for Price
Excellent. However eggs still stick on this one too.

It does an excellent job on non-stick surfaces and it's slotted
In 1990 I bought my first Westmark turner in Germany and to this day it is one of my main "go-to" tools in the kitchen. It turns food, of course -- pancakes, breakfast eggs, fish fillets, you name it. It does an excellent job on non-stick surfaces and it's slotted, so when the item you're turning is in liquid you turn the item without the liquid. But it does way more! I use it exclusively to make sauces requiring the incorporating of liquid into a roux because it reaches into corners of the pan or skillet and mixes so well. I also use it to stir dishes simmering in a saucepan because it is so thin that it keeps food at the bottom of the pot from sticking. I have three of these turners on hand just to insure that I don't have to wash up in the course of a day's cooking.I've given this turner to all of my friends over the years and this Christmas will be giving one to each of my Goddaughters who are beginning to cook. I'll be telling them that although they are rated to just over 400 degrees F., they should not be rested on the edge of a skillet on high heat because the skillet edge might cause damage to the turner. That's the only possible flaw for this excellent product and I don't consider it sufficient to knock it down to four stars because I don't know of another tool that can do all that it can do.l
