I like it! The smell is fine and much larger bottle than the other brand!
I have always used the "secret" brand of oil but decided to try this JASON oil based on price and value of the much larger bottle than I have been using.I was a bit worried of the not so great reviews suggesting the scent is not so great. To me and my nose it smells like Play-Doh and as a kid I loved that smell so to me and my nose the smell is truly fine.I see someone suggest you need more product, perhaps, but I noticed the bottle drips fast and much more than the other brand so I say just go slow with the drips, however the bottle is HUGE and for the price I am more than happy. Perhaps its not the best but its a clear #2 spot for me and the smooth shave and smooth skin I get after shaving and as far as price and bottle size, that puts it in the #1 spot for me as I will buy this brand moving forward. I like the product and love the Price and Value! Good Stuff!

Great Product,great price.
As your face ages, your skin requires more moisture when shaving. This product allows the razor to glide over your skin and reduces burn and cuts. Great for electric and safety razors.

Superior to Shave Secret
I've been a Shave Secret user for years. I shave with a double-edged safety razor daily, and both foaming and non-foaming creams generally stink for that shave method as far as I'm concerned. Shave Secret was an amazing find 7 or 8 years ago. Their formula changed, though and it got thinner, doesn't smell as attractive and just generally doesn't work with the same quality. I tried several newer brand creams over the last couple of years and have had enough with razor burn, cuts and just generally crappy shaves that I'm back to oil.I tried Shave Secret again, and their "premium" option is still sub-the old formula. It doesn't smell good and it doesn't work as well. I came upon this, which is less expensive for considerably more product and can't complain about it one bit.I don't have particularly coarse hair consistently across my face, but my neck is somewhat coarse, and it is always a problem to get a decently clean shave without serious razor burn or micro cuts due to the angle of draw required to get rid of the hair. Jason's has significantly, and I mean SIGNIFICANTLY reduced that discomfort and problem for me.The oil is surprisingly not as thick as I expected, but it works very, very well, which goes to show (at least to me) that Shave Secret did something else with their formula when they thinned it down. It glides on smooth, and doesn't require more than the 4-5 drops the instructions recommend. At that rate of use, I'm expecting this bottle to last me probably 6 or more months. And at 2oz., I can still travel with this bottle, even though I can't with my blades. It still makes for a superior shave with a cartridge when I have to use one on the road, though. There are two improvements that I think could be made:1) while the smell isn't horrible, it isn't terribly inviting, either. I've used smellier products for sure, but the smell of this reminds me of my great-grandfathers dusty old tool shed. There's a faint element perhaps of sandalwood, but it's more like sandalwood sawdust when cut with a fairly dull blade. Some menthol or tea-tree extract, or maybe even peppermint might do wonders for the aroma;2) the bottle needs some tweaking so you can control the outflow better. The thin nature of the oil means it's really easy to over-pour. Reducing the size of the hole in the bottle stem would really help that. Too much oil can be almost as bad as too little when you're shaving with a fine and very sharp blade. Too much tends to leave you thinking you've laid bare the skin and cleared everything off when you actually haven't, making you have to go back with more strokes and taking more time. All in all, I don't think I'm going to keep trying additional products at this point. Highly recommend this if you're looking to get rid of foaming shave gels/creams and want something that treats your face properly.

A lot of shaving oil for the price!
I received my order promptly. The Bottle Cap had come loose and most of the product leaked out. The Vendor shipped me a replacement simply and timely. Jason’s Oil works fantastic! It has a rather neutral scent. I liked me previous Shaving Oil scent better, but the Jason’s Oil works much better for the actual shave. Mind you the neutral smell may be a better route as there is no clash with other scents I may use.

Smells funny, but works well
Several months back I received Aesop shaving serum as a gift. It works really well. As I am getting low I decided to stay with oil for shaving. A little over one week ago I got this. It goes on well, and provides an excellent shave. The one drawback is it has a funny smell. It seems like it would have a mild masculine scent. Instead it smells like...I am not sure how to describe it. Maybe old cooking oil? The smell is not so bad that I will return the product, but it is off enough that I will likely not buy it again.
