Review: Great price, great product, great sound. - Allow me to just start out by saying that I'm just your average Joe. I will boldly say that if you read this review all the way through you will probably have the best idea of whether this is right for you. I'm a senior in college and don't have money to just throw away, not yet at least. Nothing makes me happier than when I can say that I found a deal. I guess I get that from my dad. I'm really not the kind of person who just says "Yeah, five stars!!! Bestest product of all time!!!" something has to be incredibly worthy or terrible to get me to write a review about it. Haha, luckily for Logitech, the former applies to these speakers and everything they advertised about this product is well deserved. Let me paint the picture. I was looking for some quality speakers and my limit was about 30 or 40 dollars. I'm not looking for studio quality speakers (although I would say that these are great mid-tiers), just something better than my built in speakers on my monitor. I saw these online and no matter where I went, I would keep gravitating back towards them. My caveat that makes me unique is that I was looking for a two speaker only setup with great sound; I already have my desktop down below the desk by my big 'ol feet and I would be fighting for room with a sub-woofer down there as well. That being said, these two big guys offer about the best sound short of buying a subwoofer equipped setup. I'm not being biased when I say they were actually more than what I hoped for. For about $25 you get two large speakers with more than enough cable room to put them wherever you want on your desk and great sound. As I read when considering buying these, someone wrote that they're about the size of two red bricks, and they are about spot on. Go outside and find two bricks and put them on your desk; that's about the right size, maybe even a bit bigger. To me, the size is nothing but a plus but I can understand why some wouldn't want large speakers. They look almost intimidating sitting here looking like I paid a lot more for them than I did and the size helps Logitech make good on their word that they pump out quality bass. The bass is solid, about the best I've heard in non-subwoofer setups. Yeah, you could have better bass, but not in just two speakers like these unless you go Bose or something. There is an adjustment wheel on the right speaker that you're going to just want to turn all the way up. It boosts the bass and treble very well. I've never had to take them past about half power on the sound nob except to test them right now. There's no static sound that I can hear no matter how high I go up, and that treble sound that fills the room when listening to music is incredible. In the end, I can't really think about any negatives that are worth mentioning. The do exactly what they are supposed to do. They sound great when I play games or music, and have an ambiance quality to them like you've put on headphones on and want to be left alone. Granted, I've only had these for about two weeks but I have a feeling they will last a long while. Heck, for the price they could last six months and you'd probably get your money's worth. If you want a more expensive setup with surround sound and deep bass then you're not looking in the right place, but I would imagine the sound I'm hearing would cost me about $40, not $25, so I don't see how you could be disappointed with these speakers.
Review: Great speakers - I bought these speakers to use with my computer. I needed something that sounded good, with decent bass, that would also allow for easy headphone use and volume control. These did not disappoint! The pros: - They're fairly cheap, at around $20. - They sound incredible. I mean, I'm no expert on speakers and sound quality, but these have by far the clearest sound out of all the PC speakers I've had. And they bring quite a lot of bass with them, which is nice (and adjustable, as I mention below). - Volume is easy to control with the large dial and there's a scroll on the side that allows you to adjust the tone. The cons: - They're big. Tall. Like little towers next to my monitor. It's not that big a deal for me, but some might be put off by it. - The speaker openings... I don't know what they're called. The mesh-like stuff in front of where the sound actually vibrates out. They're a bit fragile, or they feel like it, so I'm afraid they'll break or tear easily if they fall off my desk onto something. Neutral note: I've had them for a few months now and so far they've worked wonders, but I do have two, rather large cats who like to run across my desk and knock things over. So far, these little tower speakers have held up just fine to being knocked over, but it's still a concern of mine that they may be more fragile than I need them to be. I'll try to update this review with how they're working a few months from now. I plan to take good care of them, though, because the sound they bring is worth the extra effort. I love these speakers -- by far the best I've had. They bring clarity to the music I listen to (a lot of classical works and cinematic compositions) and the adjustable tone is a huge bonus for me. They were well worth the price! Update: I purchased these guys in March of 2017. It's now nearly March of 2019, and these guys are still going strong. They've been dropped, toppled over, and violently unplugged (thanks to my obnoxious cats, mostly) and they still work perfectly. I LOVE these speakers! Another update, from April 2020: After three years of nearly daily use for house at a time, after being knocked over and off my desk by rambunctious cats, these speakers are still working perfectly. Easily one of my best purchases.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: how big are these speakers?**
A: Just measured them: H9.5"xW3.5"xD4", the speakers themselves are advertised as 2.5" diameter

**Q: Do they have a cord to plug into wall jack?**
A: Yes. That is how the built-in amplifier is powered. Speakers come with two cords - one plugs into your audio out jack on your monitor or cpu and the other cord plugs into a standard wall jack.

**Q: How long is the cable that connects the two speakers?**
A: 3.5mm audio connector: 4 feet
Speaker-to-speaker: 6 feet
Power: 6 feet

**Q: do these work for elderly who don,t wanr to turn their tv
how
do they work for elderly w/poor hearing for their tv?**
A: We purchased these for an elderly friend who wanted to hear her TV without her hearing aids in. She says that they are loud enough, but that she can't control the volume from her remote. Some TVs (like my Vizio) have a setting in the menu that determines whether the TV volume switches also control the audio output. The TV we purchased this for doesn't have this feature; the output volume is constant. So, she has to get up and move the knob on the speakers to change the volume. I'd have to check with her but I believe "mute" still works from the remote.Depending on your TV, you may need an adapter to plug it in.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good for the money
*by S***N on February 3, 2020*

I do a lot of audio and video recording of mainly live local bands (friends, etc), and my end product mostly gets posted on social media. I have a home studio with very expensive studio speakers, but I wanted some "reference" speakers that would more reflect what most people would listen to my work on. I didn't want the speakers to sound "too good," just provide an accurate representation of what most people might hear. I always read the "1 and 2"-rated reviews first to see what the worst scenario might be and work up from there. The lowest ratings of these speakers had to do with longevity, and full disclosure, I've only had these speakers a few days. But I'll give my honest first impressions. I think they sound really ok, and they were exactly what I was looking for, actually they far exceeded my expectations for the price point. They provide a pretty good blend of highs, midrange, and lows for everyday listening. I was gratified to find that my mixes that sound incredible on my $1500 reference speakers, sound pretty good on these $20 speakers. In fact, I would wish that everyone who listens to my recordings could at least hear them through this quality speaker, because I know a lot of people listen on their phones or worse. That may not sound like high praise, but if you, like me, work hard at producing music for the "masses" you sometimes need a reality check, and these speakers can help to provide that. I've also listened to commercially produced music on them from sources like Spotify, and they do an adequate job. They are also great for listening to podcasts, online tv shows, Youtube, and things of that nature. In terms of physical quality, I'll just say a few things. All the components appear to sight and touch to be well-made. The adapter and connecting wires are all standard and I have detected no defects so far. The volume knob is ergonomically satisfactory, and turns smoothly without producing static, as well as the tone wheel. I don’t notice much effect from the tone control on my somewhat-less-than-pro recordings, but I do hear a difference as I dial from the bass to treble extreme on commercial recordings. Everything feels and sounds solid. So, if you are looking for some ridiculously cheap desktop speakers for your PC, phone, or laptop (or any device that has an eighth-inch output jack), and you just want pretty ok pedestrian sound that is not distorted or too bassy or too shrill at average volume, these might work for you. I can’t vouch for how long they’ll last for you, but if they last a year for me, I will have more than gotten my 20 bucks worth and I would buy them again (in fact, if they last a few months, I'll probably get a backup pair).
