Washing machine
I bought get this machine to replace my old one. It’s very nice to look at and still working my way around it. Not as many options for a full load. Most of them are for smaller loads.

Never ever again!
I bought this machine in November 2022 and was happy to review it then with 5 stars. It seemed at first to be a very good machine. However, sometimes things just don't work out the way you thought they would.Let me explain. We ran into a problem with water pouring out onto the floor.LG arranged an engineer visit which took almost a week without being able to wash anything.Eventually the engineer arrived and looked at the problem and decided he didn't have the parts! Odd, as he had a big van and a week to prepare for the visit.A second engineer was booked (after his office found the part) and a follow up visit was scheduled with a further week's delay (more washing mounting up).The second engineer located the original problem and attempted to install the new part but sadly, he broke it trying to install it.He called his office and arranged for a 3rd engineer to call with a second replacement part.A week later, the 3rd engineer arrived and fitted the part successfully. However, the problem is still not totally cleared but we're living with it.I should add that LG use a sub contractor to carry out these maintenance visits and they appear to hide behind LG's processes and systems to excuse everything.During this whole process, I tried to contact LG customer service on many occasions. After long periods of delay in answering, we were finally able to talk with someone but they never seemed able to tie the problem with the site visits or indeed my complaints. After speaking with LG many times, we finally got hold of a gentleman who claimed to be a senior customer service agent. He looked into the history and said that the way we had been treated was wrong and apologised profusely for the experience. He stated that he was going to issue a full report to his senior complaints handler and someone would be in touch as soon as possible. He suggested that some measure of compensation should be offered. I should now point out that compensation never even occurred to me until he mentioned it.Since then I have heard absolutely nothing, apart from one response that my complaint was under investigation.I have written 5 times to ask for a proper response and recently i got one. Apparently, these 'investigations' are carried out in the background (whatever that means?) and the result of these investigations are not made known to the likes of customers. It seems that the engineer who broke the part that he was trying to install didn't file a report admitting to what happened and LG seem to have decided that this therefore means they have no case to answer.Extraordinary!I now own a machine that, on the face of it, isn't too bad but does have a design fault that causes water to spray out from the soap tray. This has been fixed but water still collects inside the tray and is a modest nuisance. The real reason for filing this very negative review is to say that my experience from a customer service viewpoint has been utterly appalling.I will never ever buy an LG product again and would strongly advise anyone else considering a purchase to think again, if I could give no stars I would but it isn't possible.I have wasted hours of my life on this, waited weeks to get the problem resolved and all I eventually was hoping for was an apology and maybe a bottle of soap for my pain and expense (phone calls and the launderette). To be told that the engineer who broke the part, (because he hadn't been properly trained to install it), hadn't reported, it does not mean it didn't happen. To repeat, LG? NEVER AGAIN!October 2023 follow-up.The machine failed again, spewing water out from the dispenser draw plus a circuit board failure that stopped the timer switch operating.Reported on September 25th.Engineer arrived October 5thDidn't have parts.Follow up visit booked for October 17th.You couldn't make this up but after these experiences, I could quite easily!LG will be the last brand I ever think of for future purchases of anything!I strongly advise anyone else thinking of an LG purchase to fully reflect on this appalling review and many other similar reviews from many other people. One star is one too many!

High end machine
I did some good research before buying this machine. It replaced my 17 year old Miele so I wanted something reliable with a larger drum load. It's fairly quiet not as quiet as my Miele was but acceptable. It's a little more complex but fairly straightforward once you get used to it. I hope it lasts as long as my old machine but time will tell. But at the discounted price it's a bit of a bargain and virtually the same price I paid 17 years ago!
