It utilizes a non-glare, anodized aluminum backing plate material traditional to the SideSaddle, but the plate is contoured so that it takes up less space on the receiver and has fewer areas that could potentially snag. Additionally, shell carrier itself is constructed of proprietary flexible, synthetic rubber material, which offers durability and weather resistance as well as secure shell retention. The shell carrier also is small in size, adding to its sleek appearance. For 12 gauge only. ## Features - Fits Mossberg 500/590/Maverick 88 - Durable, flexible synthetic rubber shell carrier ensures secure shell retention. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01A3PO5WU | | Best Sellers Rank | #123,435 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #348 in Hunting & Shooting Gun Stock Accessories | | Brand Name | TacStar | | Closure Type | Open Top | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (1,037) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00751103012109 | | Included Components | gun-ammunition-and-magazine-pouches | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 8"L x 7.5"W x 2.5"H | | Item Type Name | Tac-Star Slimline SideSaddle Shell Holder Mossberg 500/590 | | Item Weight | 8.16 ounces | | Manufacturer | Lyman Products | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1081210 | | Model Number | 1081210 | | Number Of Pockets | 1 | | Number of Compartments | 1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pocket Description | Slip Pocket | | UPC | 751103012109 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** TacStar - **Color:** Black - **Item Weight:** 8.16 ounces - **Number Of Pockets:** 1 - **Product Dimensions:** 8"L x 7.5"W x 2.5"H ## Images ![Slimline Sidesaddle Shell Holder - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51NSvomBxDL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this include all required hardware?** A: Yes but if I would have installed it the grip on the pump would have hit the shell holder and wouldn’t reload. My grip was bigger from a full sized moss berg 500 if it was a pistol grip pump it probably would have worked because it has a slimmer front grip. I would just check to see how far the front grip comes back when u cock it back all the way.. if it covers any of the chamber it probably won’t work but it’s not that easy to install either. I ended up buying a shoulder strap that holds ou to 30 shells **Q: **Does this fit the Remington 870 Tac-14?** A: There is a model made for the Remington 870 that will fit the Tac 14. **Q: Can this be mounted on the Mossberg 12g Shockwave with the crimson trace laser saddle? The housing pin screw would need to match, but can't tell.** A: No, you need to order the one for the Mossberg 500. It should fit the shockwave. **Q: Does this one look just like the picture and has no universal backplate? Made specifically to line up with the 2 pins on the receiver of the rem 870.** A: Yes this one will work with the rem 870 ## Frequently Bought Together - TacStar Slimline Sidesaddle Shell Holder - Pachmayr 05103 Tactical Grip Glove for Moss Shockwave & Rem Tac 14, Black - NDZ Performance Safety Replacement Kit for Mossberg 500 590 88 835 940 12/20 Aluminum - Ball & Steel Plate Complete Kit - Choose Color & Kit --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sc/products/37351336-slimline-sidesaddle-shell-holder](https://www.desertcart.sc/products/37351336-slimline-sidesaddle-shell-holder) --- *Product available on Desertcart Seychelles* *Store origin: SC* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
