As someone who has a family history of diabetes, I've taken Oregon's Wild Harvest "True" Cinnamon for years now. My doctor had also recommended it to help improve my metabolism. It seems to work since my blood sugar has always been excellent every time I've had labs drawn, so it must be doing something. My mom--who has full-blown diabetes--takes it as well and it's been more effective for her than the prescription diabetic medications have been. However, having said all of that, I will no longer be buying this brand. I used to be able to get a bottle of 60 capsules for ~$6 to $8 / $9 when it was on sale. But, over the years, this company has jacked up it's prices until they're through the roof. Even the 60 capsule bottle is ridiculously overpriced now and a real financial drain for those of us who use this product every day (twice a day). I literally just bought my last bottle of this stuff and will be purchasing true cinnamon from a different company from here on out. My mom found a place that sells true cinnamon (cinnamomum verum) at $5.99 for a 90-capsule bottle. Clearly, this is a way better deal for those of us taking this medication long-term. So, goodbye Oregon's Wild Harvest. It was nice while it lasted, but you've just become way too money-greedy for me.
