**Q: Why is my phone stuck on the September 2021 security update?**
A: I bought my TCL 20R mid 2022. The last security update was Sep 2021. I understood the "TCL 20R 5G" had a "Security Update Until: August 2023". I am relying on Norton & a VPN to (hopefully) keep me secure. Obviously I will think twice before buying a TCL smartphone again IF the security updates were supposedly until Aug 23? Other than that I am happy with the mobile.

A: No it's charged via lead
