I have the powerpure 3000 that I love, but I wanted to try the "warm mist" in the colder months. No Thanks. It spits water all over the place, the warm mist is not warm, the blue light is WAY too bright and lights up entire bedroom at night, and to make things worse, the humidity sensor turns unit on & off, on and off, which in turn turns the blue light in and off constantly. If you want to sleep with a super bright blue blinking light, like your bedroom is in a nightclub, then this is for you. Returing after 1 night of usage. Had to shut off 2 hours into sleep. Not pleased. The instructions are absolutely terrible and are as minimal as possible. The warm mist is apparantly activated using the lower most button on the front of the unit, and is not easy to see this in the instructions. Pictures I am posting show the 3000 on the left and the 4000 on the right in case you want to see the size difference. There is very minimal info on the actual size of these units online. For your reference the 4000 measures the following at the widest point at the base of the unit: 7"wide X 8.5" deep X 13.75" tall. Review: Very silent, quite efficient. The buttons on the ... - Very silent, quite efficient. The buttons on the front don't always work as expected (I have to touch a bit on the side) but since there's also a remote it's not close to be a problem. There's an auto mode to select the desired humidity level which I don't use because: depending on the fog orientation, the detector will fluctuate too much; I fear (possibly for nothing) that the frequent on/off cycles would use the device too fast. No problem, I just held my thumb over it and filled it fast. After 2 weeks, it leaked from the bottom when I put it on the machine. I tightened the screw cap. I washed it thoroughly as per the directions. It still lost half the volume of water from the bottom within 3 minutes. Just after Christmas, I contacted Allergy Buyers Club (the vendor through Amazon) and explained the situation. Today I got an e-mail notice that they are shipping me a replacement and that I don't need to return the faulty unit. It gets 3 stars because the humidifier I received is worth no stars and the customer service is worth 5 stars. When I have used the replacement for 4-6 weeks, I will revise this review if warranted. Update: I received the replacement fairly quickly. The top does not leak. The screw cap drips a little. I am afraid to tighten it since it is plastic and I don't want to strip it.
