Review: They keep going! - These are great laces! Ive had my main 63" pair out last 3 pairs of work shoes and im still wearing them to work on their 4th pair of shoes. They are solid with no signs of damage and stay tied all day with old wax after years of use. They have a rough texture when new but smooth out eventually. I like waxing them stiff to keep them tied all day no questions. Ive held a lighter to them before and they hold up but it will probably make them brittle over time. Some problems 1.)Laces lose color and turn white 2.)If a plastic aglet pulls off they fray horribly from the end 3.)If a lace gets cought in something you better hope it isnt fast moving or anything with a lot of torque. 1500lbs doesnt brake easy. 4.)I dont like other laces anymore I got another 63" pair in today (9-24-26) and the aglets were coming off while waxing them. A dab of superglue would work but im buying metal aglets for these!
Review: Holds up to heavy sparks from grinders! - Most durable laces that can still be tied well enough that I have ever seen! Lasted over two years of heavy sparks and even occasional molten metal from use as a steel pipe fitter/fabricator. Normal cheap laces last a month or two, "durable" laces and the original laces that come with the name brand timberland boots last 3-5 months, these lasted over two years and more than paid in the difference in cost. Still they failed in the same way, dry rot and failure in the underside which never got cleaned but zero damage from sparks so they far outlasted everything. To give an idea of the abuse, my $190 timberland boots only last 12-16 months and my full leather apron to block the sparks at my stomach only lasts a year so these things can clearly take abuse. Worth the money for me most definitely. The main con is the cost, really unless your dealing with sparks or mud these arent worth your money in my opinion, but some people really need laces that can handle sparks and weld slpatter and these work for that surprizingly well. The only real con beyond the cost is the stiffness, they are more difficult to tie but I learned an effective way to tie it with little risk of untieing and easy untieing later. Single underloop to start basically the way most teach to tie shoes, then single bunny ear and pull the otherside all the way through (dont make two ears at the same time, just one), then bunny ear the other side as a double tie and get it very tight. The first bunny ear tightens to the shoe and the second ear tightens to the first ear. This way never has come untied unless the string was left too long and got stepped on, actually these get tighter than conventional laces only doing this way specifically but releasing isnt an issue since pulling the correct string will pull out one loop then pull the other and its untied. The laces do require a very tight tie to not come untied, but doing the separate single bunny ears as described allows for a very tight tie without the shoe itself being too tight. Dunno why but tieing the bunny ears together for a double tie does not stay tied since they are too stiff, and only doing the bunny ears for a single tie as normally taught for tennis shoes doesnt stay either. And this style isnt as effective with normal laces as with these laces either, im on my feet for 10-12 hours a day in these climbing over stuff and climbing inside of pipe and never came untied unless the release string was pulled. Yet my thin laces on my tennis shoes never stayed tied with this tieing style. If you need laces that can handle sparks and can figure out a tie for them since they are thicker these are very highly recommended!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do I pick the appropriate length for my boot? I don't know the current lace length.**
A: There are boot lace length carts on the internet based on how many eyelets your boot has. Most lace manufacturers will have this information on their website. Another way is to use a spare piece of string. Lace up a spare piece of string cut it were you like the length and measure that.

**Q: are they made in china?**
A: I also checked out whether they were made in China. The are made 100% in the USA.

**Q: Is this for just one or a pair of laces?**
A: This is a pair of laces. It comes with two laces total. One for each shoe/boot.

**Q: I tear an average shoelace every day skateboarding, will these withstand a beating from griptape?**
A: I would be surprised if they ever broke, griptape or not.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Laces that last in all conditions
*by M***E on September 17, 2026*

Hands down best laces I’ve ever had!! I work construction and I wear Irish setters and for some reason they eat up laces I’ve tried so many kevlar and other "indestructible” laces and none of them lasted. I first got a set of these for a laborer I work with that is hell on boots between the torching and concrete his boots only last 6 months and in that time he will go through 2-3 pair of laces as of now he still has the same set of iron lashes I got for him and his on pair of boots #5!! I recommend these laces to all the guys at work and a lot have bought them and all had good results. One guy told me he liked that once you cinch them up they stay tight where other boot laces would listen over the course of the day just by movement. I can’t say enough good stuff about these laces. Get a pair they are reasonably priced and they will out perform and out last anything else on the market!
