The alcohol hits you immediately, overpowering any actual fragrance. It takes a good 5–10 minutes for the scent to settle, and by then it’s weak and forgettable. At $30–$40, I expected more depth and quality — instead, it just smells cheap and harsh. The problem is, if the perfume is made with a low concentration of oils (say, more like an eau de toilette than an eau de parfum), you’re basically getting a few drops of fragrance in a pool of alcohol. Which is why you spend the first 5–10 minutes thinking, “Wow, did I just spritz on vodka?” before the real notes finally peek through. By then, the moment’s kinda ruined. If you’re investing your money, honestly, I’d tell you to skip anything that can’t hold its own past the alcohol phase.
