We used two on each end where the walls met the roof. They fit snugly in a 4inch hole (via hole saw). The hole needs to be fairly clean and straight. (hole saws can sometimes cut at an angle.) Anyway when the hole is good the fit is good. In my application I don't have room for a standard rectangular vent covers everywhere, so this was really my only choice.
