Review: Worked very well...for four months. Now it's just expensive paperweight - Purchased this for a small office that needed to scan about 500-1000 pages a day. The set up was very confusing to start with despite the alleged one-touch scan technology. Apparently, that's only available if you sign a contract with Kodak Alaris. But we ended up making it work anyways and it does scan fast and was what we needed. After four months, it gave us a "clean imaging hardware" error even though we had no prior issues with the images. With the error message, the machine wouldn't allow us to scan at all. We followed manufacturer instructions and cleaned the imaging strips but error message persisted. Contacted Kodak Alaris asking about the error message and received a response that it would cost us a minimum of $1000 for them to make a service call to diagnose the issue. We purchased this machine based on Kodak's brand name. It's a shame a $3000 product failed within 4 months and the company charges $1000 just to make a service call. Considering the $1000 doesn't even include what it would cost to fix this machine, we wrote it off as a loss.
