I don’t think I can fault Kraus for this issue, it’s just crappy, weak, bowing laminate. I was able to remedy this gap with a bit of extra silicone caulk. Don’t let any of the negative reviews deter you from buying this sink. My friend is a plumber and he said that usually the less expensive no name brand sinks have quality control issues and don’t fit properly or come out of the box already damaged.

Very happy with this sink so far. Had it for a few weeks now. It looks amazing and feels very robust. I found the mounting clips to not be the greatest but they did the job. The sink itself is so thick and heavy that it weighs itself down quite well. One other thing to keep in mind, I installed this on a laminate countertop. Due to the weight of the sink, the sides in the centre of the sink don’t sit perfectly flush to the countertop. I don’t think I can fault Kraus for this issue, it’s just crappy, weak, bowing laminate. I was able to remedy this gap with a bit of extra silicone caulk. Don’t let any of the negative reviews deter you from buying this sink. My friend is a plumber and he said that usually the less expensive no name brand sinks have quality control issues and don’t fit properly or come out of the box already damaged.

My husband and I still hand wash our good knives, fragile glasses, and some of our cookware - so we love having the divided sink! The low height of the divider means that you still get that sleek modern look - but with more functionality than the large single basin. This I one of my favorite purchases from the kitchen reno - love the drying rack and plan to order the strainer. At the time I ordered, Amazon had the best price for this particular Kraus sink - the double basin adds to the cost.
