Works Great!
It worked great out of the box. We had some trouble with the screws, but those were minor. If you want a cheap motherboard that works, this is it! Just make sure it's compatible with your device.

For those wanting to try VPRO! ( for better access bios too than if you were sitting in front of it ).
bought this yesterday, put it on a piece of matting, and attached an SSD, PSU, Mem. and temporarily keyboard, monitor, mouse. Yes I also had flash drive with a system and USB DVD for the Asus DVD. I used screwdriver to short pins first start but after that used the keyboard space bar. I now had great computer for personal use and remote access.I then did the VPro Install which really needs a guide. Took many hours but while I watched TV. You have to look at each bios item and find several Intel docs/apps on the internet to do the VPro trickie install. But having done that then you : Can remotely turn on off and see info but using the very special VNC Viewer Plus from miles away you have more control than if you in front of the machine . Working the bios on a running machine in use is really cool!Board itself is good with 2 M2 slots and tons of USB Ports. The PCI slots are really poor but there is ONE fast 16 slot for video card. You not need the VPro then there are Asrock ( and others ) Mini ITX cheaper and better.Roe5685

Good priced MOBO for anyone running Old Gen Intel CPU using LGA1151 Socket
Surprised the MOBO functioned perfectly. Simply added in all my components and it ran beautifully.Main Componentsi7 7700K CPU1080 GTXCorsair Vengeance 16GB x2 RAMAnyone still running previous Gen hardware, this is a solid MOBO for it's price and good performance.

Good, but not gigabit ethernet
I saw where this had a Gigabit ethernet NIC in the manual, but it only came up as a T100 after the drivers were loaded (we do have a gb ethernet switch that the whole office is plugged into with a gb sonicwal) so the ethernet is a mystery on this thing, but it does work. Otherwise, not a speedster with an i5, but decent. Seems to be a stable system albeit just a tad sluggish. The breakout of the headers for the panel buttons is confusing and the manual doesn't provide much guidance. I got it to work, though. Poor documentation from Asus, which surprised me, which is generally why I buy MSI, but we needed an inexpensive PC to just do audio editing work with Adobe Audition and the Asus works well enough for that. I wouldn't game with this, it's fine as an office PC though. After Windows 10 was loaded on it, there weren't many driver updates, so the hardware is probably at the end of its life-cycle from the get-go. But, for a basic PC that just runs and you're not concerned about top performance, then this little board will do the trick. It does have one PCI and two PCIe slots, which will allow an older peripheral to work with it. If you have older KVMs with PS-2, it'll support that as well. Basic, older architecture but seems to be a solid performer, the NIC is slow, but you could get a gigabit PCIe card to make it run faster. I would rank it as passable for the price. It will run win 7 or 10, I don't know about 11, I don't have a license of that to try yet. It does have safe-computing in the BIOS, so I would venture a guess that win11 would work with it, albeit it might be kinda sluggish. Good memory support up to 64 gb, but be sure to check Asus' compatibility list on their website to get the right kind. I was able to find a single 8 gig stick of Corsair Valueselect CMV8GX4M1A2133C15 DDR4 memory at a reasonable price, which works just fine. Considering how hard it is to find decent computer parts these days, this is OK and will work for a basic PC, Asus is generally a reliable brand.

Good 7th Gen Motherboard
Quality Board. I had a i7-7700 given to me from a friend.I had a bunch of spare parts. I wanted a low cost board, since I can't overclock. (NON K) I wanted something basic. This was perfect. I would recommend googlingAsus Suite 3, for some reason it was not included in the CDinstallation. I found it online. It's a life saver(Controls fans, even puts CPU in highest state)Always have had good experiences with ASUS Boards.Happy with my purchase.
