The drink stays warm for hours, which is good as I am a bugger for making a brew and forgetting it in the kitchen. The lid is nice and secure so transport is very easy without leakage has now been a problem so far. The inside of the mug is stain resistant which is good because I like my tea and coffee strong enough to remove the silver off a spoon. There is no metallic aftertaste which can happen with some cups of this nature and the grip is secure and feels very strong.. Very good value for money and it looks very smart. Review: Extremely good insulated mug especially for disabled or older people - I broke my neck in a horse riding accident when I was 19 which left me paralysed and with limited hand dexterity. I used to drink a lot of tea before my accident but afterwards I couldn't hold most mugs, either because they were awkward to hold or I'd burn my hand on them. I've bought a LOT of different mugs since my accident that were designed for disabled people but they were all useless or just OK. I don't make hot drinks myself as I've often burned my hand when using the kettle, so someone else makes hot drinks for me. I bought 2 of these 4 years ago, and they're the best mugs I've ever had. The handle is a good size so they're easy to hold. The outside of the mug stays cool even with burning hot tea in them. The lid is easy to put on. After filling the mug with a hot drink, the best way to put the lid on is to open the sliding part, place the lid securely on the mug then let out a bit of steam, then close the slider over. That way, the steam doesn't push the lid up, which can be dangerous as the steam is hot. They need to be kept upright all the time as they're not leak proof. If they fall, there's a good chance the lid will come off. So I wouldn't use them as travel mugs. The slider on the lid is easy to slip back so you can drink through the hole. It's also a substantial size, and I find I can drink without any liquid spilling out. Though I usually take the lid off completely when I'm ready to drink from them. These mugs keep tea, which is made with boiling water hot for 2 hours. After that, it starts to cool down When it's used for cold drinks, it keeps them icy cold for several hours, longer if there's ice cubes in them. I drink tea out of both mugs four times a day. I drink it black so the mug gets stained inside. It comes off if you give it a hard scrub but I find the best way to clean them is to put a small amount of bleach in them, fill them up with water, leave for a few hours and rinse thoroughly. The only reason I'm back buying another two mugs is because lately, I've dropped both lids and ran over them with my wheelchair and broke them. I bought 2 grey mugs the first time but I've now got a lovely pink and a mottled blue. There is a really good range of colours. The mugs are a really good size. They last for years unless you run over them like I did! They're a really good price compared to most insulated mugs I've bought or seen. If I can use them with limited movement in my fingers, then I'm sure any other disabled person looking at these mugs could use them too. They're perfect for everyone So I'd highly recommend them. ## Features - Premium Vacuum Insulation: Double-wall stainless steel keeps coffee hot for 6 hours (or iced drinks cold for 12); made from food-grade 18/8 stainless steel, BPA-free, and reusable – save money and reduce waste with every fill - Wide Mouth + Dishwasher Safe: Fits ice cubes, tea bags, and pour-over brewers with zero struggle; rinses spotless in seconds; mug and lid are top-rack dishwasher safe – say goodbye to hand-scrubbing - One-Thumb Slide Lid: Glide open to sip, slide shut to block dust and debris; simple, quiet operation makes it the perfect office coffee mug for focused work at home or in the office - Slim & Bag-Friendly: Featherlight design with a slim profile slips easily into your tote or backpack – carry it empty, then fill at your favourite cafe or office brewer - Perfect Gift: Resists fingerprints and stains, available in a curated palette of modern colours; a sophisticated accessory or a thoughtful gift for coffee lovers – for birthdays, holidays, or just because ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09BZDSTGK | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | 3,793 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 29 in Insulated Cups & Mugs | | Brand | Ideus | | Brand Name | Ideus | | Capacity | 16 Fluid ounces | | Colour | Jellyfish Red | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 3,215 Reviews | | Finish Type | Matte | | Included Components | Handle, Lid | | Is the item dishwasher safe? | Yes | | Is the item microwaveable? | No | | Item Dimensions W x H | 12.6W x 13H centimetres | | Item Shape | Round | | Item Weight | 340 Grams | | Manufacturer | IDEUS | | Manufacturer Part Number | coffee mug | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Material Features | Insulated | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Material Type Free | BPA Free | | Model Number | DLM001PC16 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Home | | Other Special Features of the Product | Condensation Resistant, Double Wall, Sliding Lid, Vacuum Insulated, Wide Mouth | | Pattern | Solid | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Product Style | Casual | | Recommended Uses For Product | Home, Travel | | Reusability | Reusable | | Size | 1 Count (Pack of 1) | | Special feature | Condensation Resistant, Double Wall, Sliding Lid, Vacuum Insulated, Wide Mouth | | Specific Uses For Product | Cold Drinks, Hot Drinks | | Style | Casual | | Team Name | FUJI DAWN | | Theme | Anniversary, Back To School, Birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, Graduation, Mother's Day, New Year, Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ideus - **Capacity:** 16 Fluid ounces - **Colour:** Jellyfish Red - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Special feature:** Sliding Lid, Wide Mouth, Condensation Resistant, Vacuum Insulated, Double Wall ## Images ![Ideus 16oz Insulated Coffee Mug with Handle & Lid (Jellyfish Red, Fuji Dawn) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61+xk-r2AdL.jpg) ![Ideus 16oz Insulated Coffee Mug with Handle & Lid (Jellyfish Red, Fuji Dawn) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/618vQQNAOYL.jpg) ![Ideus 16oz Insulated Coffee Mug with Handle & Lid (Jellyfish Red, Fuji Dawn) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/615uqb6PWTL.jpg) ![Ideus 16oz Insulated Coffee Mug with Handle & Lid (Jellyfish Red, Fuji Dawn) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51fZ7FHHJNL.jpg) ![Ideus 16oz Insulated Coffee Mug with Handle & Lid (Jellyfish Red, Fuji Dawn) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71shcaD8yIL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Team** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does coffee stay hot without the lid on…hotter than a normal ceramic mug?** A: Yes keeps it hot for several hours with lid on..Poor lid design for drinking will leak when tipping up cup. **Q: I incorrectly put together the lid and now in can’t unassembled the lid to clean? Its bigger than I expected but thats fine and it means a bigger cup of tea so who can complain at that. Well made and looks really good too. I love how the top slides so easily. Keeps your drink hot or cold.
