Gear Shift Knob Reverse Lifter Up Compatible With 2013-up Scion FR-S Subaru BRZ 2015-up Subaru WRX/WRX STi and Compatible with 2013+ Toyota GT-86reverse lockout lever with smooth glide reverse lockout feature. reverse lock out lever combines the OEM reverse lockout ring, and plastic boot holder into one part making for a clean, simpler look for your shifter. The lockout ring's finish matches the shift knob base making it look like one assembly.

Review: Comfortable upgrade with a bonus! - This has a much nicer and chunkier feel to it than the stock button and goes REALLY well with the leather handbrake cover that matches the leather and stitching of the wheel. It simply screws onto a post the old button screws off of. I couldn't get the old one out without mangling it though, bc it's that cheap silver coated soft plastic. BUT I discovered this has a handy hidden security feature. IF you screw it in too far you can't push it in far enough to release the e-brake. So just by giving this a few twists, you can add ANOTHER layer of security against vehicle thieves. And it really would baffle them in the heat of the moment. Beyond being able to screw it in TOO far, you can also choose how much it sits in or sticks out of the handle just by how much you want to screw it on. This does mean that it freely twists if you mess with it while driving around but you can always add some loctite if you MUST have it be still.

A: Yes, as long as your oem handle has a threaded button. Leave the spring in and it will function normally.

**Q: Does not fit ? 2016wrx way loose. And no locking hardware**
A: I didnt twist mine all the way down..i went to when it worked good and glued it or u can use teflon to keep it on tight

I have a Mazda with a hand-activated emergency brake. The button on it stopped working. The spring popped out and can't be fixed. $300 for a new one, or my brilliant mechanic suggested I try this drift switch. Hooray!!! It works perfectly and is actually easier to use than the original.
