Crystal clear FM from an optically minimal antenna
I bought this for FM radio only, so I can't talk to how it works on HDTV.My wife hated the dipole antenna I had on my stereo receiver, so I thought I would try this optically minimal antenna. My stereo tuner is digital and it would land on strong stations only. That gave me about 12 channels. Reception was ok, but nothing to write home about. When the RG antenna arrived I opened the box and pulled out the connector to confirm it would fit my stereo connector,. It looked like a fit, so I plugged in the antenna, with a bit of pressure. I turned on the tuner and could not believe my ears. The sound was crystal clear. I started hitting the tuning button and it stopped at almost every station. Every station tuned in was almost CD like in quality. I pulled the antenna and stand out of the box and it now sits on the bottom shelf, about 3 inches above the floor, and behind the receiver, where my wife can hardly see it. I live on a high floor so perhaps that is why I don;t have to raise the antenna.I am going to test this on my digital TV now, and if it works as well, I will buy another. I will do a follow up review after testing.

This is a product I recommend
We had rabbit ears for several decades with aluminum foil from rod to rod and it worked for the channels we enjoyed when we chose to watch television. Recently the antennae stopped working because one of the rods was cracked. We went to Amazon and began searching for a new antenna and found the RGTech Monarch 50 Transparent Indoor HDTV Flat Antenna. I read many reviews for multi-directional antenna and chose this one. We have been using it for one week and so far we love it. Instead of 14 channels, we have 21. We live on top of a bluff in the midwest so the number of channels increases and decreases with the weather. The picture is clear and crisp. When I read the reviews one customer shared that they attached the antenna to the window so that is what we do and it works perfectly.

Good reception and good value
This antenna is useful for reception of digital television and FM radio signals. Keep in mind that you must aim the surface in the direction of the broadcast signals you want to receive. Depending on the proximity of the placed antenna to mobile phone towers, you may need to add a 3G/4G filter inline to obtain or stabilize the television picture. You may also need to add an FM filter inline to obtain or stabilize the picture on certain stations, particularly VHF stations. If you have weak broadcast signals, you may require a preamplifier. Be sure to connect any filters downstream from the preamp. If you use this antenna for just FM reception, you probably won't require a cell tower signal filter or a preamp. This antenna receives HD FM radio station signals quite well. I would prefer to connect my own RG6 coaxial cable to my television rather than the 15 feet of flimsier CSV which you have to accept with this product.

Not recommended!
I normally avoid leaving negative reviews but was compelled to do so this time, as I was anticipating much better results from these antennas (based upon numerous positive reviews). I tested both the Monarch 40 and 50. I'm located only 9 miles from the transmitters (with the antennas positioned facing them). Very poor results overall! Weaker than average signal, especially with the 50 (which was surprising)! Regardless of where I positioned them. With or without amplification. Confirmed with both signal strength and quality indicators on TV (and visual confirmation). I'm not a novice.Have tested many different antennas in my environment (which isn't that challenging a location). 2-3 channels originate from 20-30 miles away and/or produce weaker signals. Wanted to see if these antennas could do a better job with these channels but, in reality, these antennas did a worse than average job, even with the local channels! Also, based upon the (unclear) product description, I was left with the impression that you could (possibly) attach your own coax cable to these antennas. Not the case. You must rely upon the thin, poor quality cable that's permanently attached. Much prefer the Mohu antennas (which provide a coax connector). This allows you to use better quality (i.e. RG-6, quad shield) cable that's not as vulnerable to interference issues. In addition, it's a possibility that the built in LTE filter is actually reducing the signal on these antennas. Filters generally do this. This type of filter isn't necessarily required and may actually be detrimental. These filters can be purchased separately. If it's not needed and is (potentially) reducing the signal, why have it built in to the antenna?Confused as to how such (supposedly) good results were achieved by others. Currently using a $14.99 (on Amazon.com) Mohu Metro. Very highly recommended if you're within a close range of the transmitters (totally unbiased opinion).Sorry to say that I cannot recommend these antennas. Very disappointed!

Excellent! Easy set up and it works!
Excellent product! My cable company dropped a public television station that I enjoyed watching. I needed a Multidirectional antenna that would be able to pick up channels 50 miles away. I purchased another antenna prior and it could not pick up the channel I wanted. I am very pleased with this antenna. It was very easy to set up. I purchased the clear panel. You provided a 15 foot cable cord. The quality of your product is excellent. It was very easy to set up. The product was packaged well. You provided easy set up instructions. I am happy to say I can get the channel I wanted and I was surprised at all the other channels that I can pick up. I ordered one for my sister. I chose this antenna based on the technology manufacturing information. I wish I would have just ordered this one initially. Thank you!

Best Indoor TV aerial in Australia
I had this shipped from the USA as I have tried every indoor aerial available in Australia and they are all poor. The Monarch 50 immediately picked up 69 stations including all the major stations, where the others had failed. This review is for other Australians needing a proper indoor aerial solution. Give this a try, you will need an F-Type to PAL adaptor, which is a couple of dollars at Bunnings, but once you have that, you will notice a huge difference to all those other aerials we have in our stores. I love it and am happy to say that this product lives up to its claims

No tiene buena recepción.
No tiene buena recepción. La señal es intermitente y la imagen se pixelea o se congela por momentos. Esperaba mejor resultado. La cambié por una antena de menor alcance y el resultado fue el mismo.
