It's an animal
BE CAREFUL! This thing is a monster, it'll dig into your grass and take a big notch out in the blink of an eye. If it comes across a weed with a thicker stalk, it will pull itself into whatever it is you happen to be trimming around at that time. I love it but you have to be very careful...I wasn't when I first started. I took it to my girlfriend's house to take down some tall weeds she let get out of hand, this thing did a number on them taking weeds out down to the ground with bases as large as 1/2". But you have to be careful when cutting things like this because again it will pull itself in in a half second. It is taking me some time to get use to and control it's power, I keep my battery powered eater to get to more sensitive areas for now.

Great Trimmer
This was delivered yesterday and I used it for nearly 2 hours doing a little bit of everything (I've been without a trimmer for too long). Edging - Great, trimming around trees - Great, chewing up waist high weeds and grass - Great. I was even surprised to find out it would take out small trees about as thick as a pencil. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. I ran through 2 tanks of gas last night so we'll see how well it holds up throughout the season. It was heavier than I thought it would be but I suppose that's a nice trade off considering it's more powerful than I thought it would be too.

Good trimmer
I chose this trimmer because I bought a Poulon Pro riding mower last fall that I have been very happy with. After many years in a faily small lot, I've moved to a new larger property, and after seeing the limitations of my Black and Decker 18V battery powered trimmer, I decided I needed something stronger. This fits the bill. After using the little B&D trimmer, this one seems to be quite heavy to this old timer, but I suppose that's to be expected. It does the job quite well, and surprisingly came with a full spool of trimmer line. I do wish the owners manual was more user friendly. Since I'd never operated a gas powered model, I didn't quite understand how to find the primer bulb (it's under the housing cover) nor what the bright yellow "switch" on the opposite side of the shaft from the operating throttle is (I still don't know).

Good trimmer
I've read some of the other reviews and am surprised at the low rating of this weed eater. I've only had mine for about two months but what I have used it has surpassed my expectations. Its easy to start and seems very powerful, I've only got at most 5 hours of use with it so far as I don't necessarily need to weed eat every time I mow. I think this is a very decent trimmer for the price and am very happy that I purchased this, I will keep this updated if i run into any issues.

Great for the money
This is not lightweight. I have no trouble, but I am 6'4" and 200 lbs.My neighbor-lady who is 77 yrs old cannot possibly use this.My 60 yr old mother would have considerable trouble using it.It is easy to start if you understand 2 stroke motors. It is only 2 months old, but it cranks first time-every time, just like a 2 stroke should.I only use manufacturer's oil and prime and choke according to directions.Well balanced.Cord feeding is super easy, cutting radius is quite large.Very sturdy, if I was operating a business I might go with a husky or other premium brand for daily wear and tear, but for the once a week use I need this is absolutely good enough.

I like it and it was a good price
It was a little hard to start right out of the box, but that is to be expected. The 25cc engine is a little small for heavybrush or weeds, but does grass very well. I cleared my garden with it and it made it through the tough stuff butthe engine labored a bit. It has to have time to rev up to tackle heavy stuff. It could use a small carburetor adjustmentwhich is no big deal. I like it and it was a good price. I like the fact that it is a Poulan which is made by Husqvarna.

Only used once, but so far so good
After returning two "refurbished" gas trimmers that wouldn't start; I purchased those from a local vendor, I decided to give this Poulan a try. It looked like it had everything I needed, would take a couple of my universal attachments, and the price was right. So far it has not disappointed. The engine started fast and smoothly. The only gripe is that when I left it with the gas tank down (trimmer standing against the wall in my garage) gas leaked. This had not happened to any of my former trimmers. I hope this will be an easy fix, like a cap gasket replacement, if that's the problem; I'll double check on that, but it wouldn't affect the 5 stars. Shipping was fast for me; very pleased about that. I'll update my post if necessary... I do realize this is still early

Product Good - Customer Service - BAD
The product itself worked as described, however, warranty work request is useless. I did call Poulan Customer service (800) 554-6723 and found out the unit has a 1 year warranty and received a Reference Number and happened to have an authorized repair center in my home town. When I went to the authorized repair center, I was asked, "where I purchased it from"... Before I could get Amazon out of my mouth, he immediately said, "Nope, can't work on it." Not, it will be a month before I can get to it, I'm really backed up, nothing. When I asked if I was correct that he was an authorized repair center, he said, "Yes I am, but I can't get to it". Poulan, if you're going to have "Authorized Repair Centers" and I have a warranty problem, I expect Poulan to make it good. Now I've been trying to get Poulan back on the phone the 3 x's in the last week... I've waited 25 minutes, 47 minutes and 90 minutes.... Just take this as a learning lesson and buy local from now on. Amazon and the seller were great, however Poulan and the "Authorized Repair Center" lacks big time. If you can work on the product itself, probably a good investment. If not, buyer beware. You got me this time, but never again...
