I had already replaced my stock lights with some generic knock-off LED lights and one of them stopped working within a month. What a waste of money they were. Thought I saved $40, instead I wasted $40 and wasted my time. The wires were already corroded in the connectors and I had to solder on new connectors ith the old ones. These lights in contrast were plug and play. Super easy to install. Don't understand the reason for the resistor, but mounted it also as instructed in the directions. These are just different looking than most other Wrangler tail lights. Clean looking, smoked glass, perfect brightness. Not too bright as LEDs can sometimes be, but not too dim either. Jeep Wrangler tail lights, at least on my 2012 JKU, have four screws visible, but it's actually only the inside set of two which actually hold the tail light in place. It's only day one since installed, but so far I am super happy with the tail lights. Definitely recommend to my fellow Jeep lovers. Spend the money once and do it right.
