Serious Reliability and Customer Service problems.
This product was delightful for our 14 year old son who took to it right away. It got him out of the house more, and became useful transport to and from school. However, after using the Blink Lite for 3 weeks, the wheels stopped turning with the motor. We called customer service and left a message as instructed 3 times. We also submitted a ticket but they haven't yet responded after five days, despite saying they would get back to us in 48 hours. We are very unimpressed with the reliability of this product and even less impressed with customer service. The product is great, but reliability and customer service are sinking it for us.

Slow top speed and slow braking. Perfect for college students and per dollar the best and lightest board you can buy. Love it.
I've had the Blink lite for a few weeks now and I would say it is most definitely worth it. As a college student the board is perfect for getting around campus at a speed faster than jogging and will bring you to your destination without breaking a sweat. The board says it will go 10 mph, but I haven't even gotten 9.5 mph, even downhill. Realistically expect to get between 7.6 to 8.5 mph, and going uphill will bring you down to roughly 4 mph and if it is any bit steep it is faster to jog up the hill. The range is accurate though, and boarding with friends on flat ground is both enjoying and effortless, and will get you around 5 miles. The accelration is slow and it is better to kick a few times before turning on the motor, and the brakes take a while to bring you to a stop (its slow, but in a good way as it prevents the rider from being thrown off violently as is with a higher end board) After riding an evolve or a boosted board at 23 mph, you feel sad riding this board as it is switching from a bugatti veyron down to a prius (I know, I own a prius) That being said, for the price it is definitely worth it and would not trade it for anything. The app is allright, though it is dumb that you require an app to pair a board to the remote, but the speedomotor is accurate and the modes you can change it to are accurate enough (the beginner mode caps the top speed to 5 mph). It's cool that it also shows other riders in the area as it alows you to meet up with other riders in the area. The 6 month warranty is reassuring as I am not sure that it can keep up with my 5 mile a day riding adventures, but as for now the board is living up to everything I wanted it to be.

Love this thing. I love my commute now!
I love this board. I commute down the embarcadero in San Francisco every morning and riding this has been the highlight of my day. Its a great beginner electric skateboard and I haven't found anything else that compares to it for the cost. I've clocked in at about 9mph on it easily and I'm 5'9 and within 50lbs of the max weight.Pros:-lightweight!! Seriously. This has been the best feature. Other boards are close to 20lbs and just totally impractical. It's like carrying a 1980s cell phone compared to an iPhone-gets through TSA for traveling. Fits in the overhead bin.-braking. Being able to brake changes a skateboarding experience dramatically. It's awesome. The brakes on this board do it justice.-LED light. Makes riding at night extra fun. Looks cool. Let's you see the pavement to avoid hitting a nasty bump/break.-charging. Charger is lightweight! Can be thrown in my bag without weighing me down. Board charges in about 2 hours. I charge at work and then I'm good to go. I've gone 5 miles without needing a charge.-it's just fun. I really just love how fun it is to cruise on this thing. I get a lot of comments on it. It's been a fun conversation piece.Cons:-Suffers if it's really windy. Wind really affects this power behind this board. Sometimes I come to a really slow speed if I'm going against the wind.-I have no idea when the remote battery is gonna die. Keep batteries on me for this reason.

Pros: high value, great for beginner | Cons: initial setup was confusing and difficult
I've never ridden a powered skateboard before and only ridden an unpowered skateboard a little bit. I wanted to try out this concept to see if I can use an electric skateboard as a "last mile" part of commuting and for running errands. I didn't want to buy a high performance board but I also didn't want to buy a crappy kid's toy that would be a waste of a couple hundred bucks. So I've taken it out in my neighborhood on the lowest setting a couple times and so far I'm really happy with it. This thing is solid and does what it's supposed to do. I'm looking forward to getting more comfortable so I can try out the higher settings and take it into busier areas. There are aspects of skateboarding I don't have, like how to get over small obstacles or make rapid corrections. So I've had to bail out a few times. Turns out a truly awesome feature is the braking function! Not only does it help slow me down on hills or when approaching intersections, it also freezes the board in place when I lose control of it. When I bail out I just jam the throttle back to activate the brake and the board immediately stops moving. It makes me a lot more confident that the board isn't going to end up underneath a car.The only bad spot as the initial setup. I couldn't find the Acton app in the Google Play store at all; like it didn't exist. When I tried again I was able to make it show up in the results preview (not the actual results) by trying different combinations of search terms. The app really shouldn't be necessary to make the board work. I believe it's just a way to gather data on users; it asks for way more permissions than it should need. After installation and registration I found that the instructions to pair the remote, both in the package and on the website, are straight up wrong. I've got Android and the only way I found anything remotely related to pairing was by trying every single button one by one.

Dangerous and Erratic
We purchased this model for our son. The first one we received died within three days (motor that drives the rear wheel just gave out).

I like it a lot
I weight about 106-110 and I skate on this flying. It’s a nice cruiser board. I had it for about 2 months now and it’s still working like I hoped.
