Mandelin Premium Almond Paste: No Sugar Added, 66% Almonds, 34% Maltitol (2 lb)

I think for the home baker Almond Past is difficult to get around.....I mean the price is sky high and how much are you supposed to add to your cookie recipe or frangipane recipe.....how much can you charge for a bag of almond shortbread vs chocolate Chip.......so you see what I mean but overall I think almond paste is like truffles in the hot food kitchen so it is well worth paying for. I think this is a good product....tight lids so no drying out and perfect amount per container so that you don't feel like over using.....I will buy again.................thanks

Almost perfect ! Works very well. But, Don’t expect non-sugar products to perform as per a sugar product. I practice- Lots! But for diabetics or those on restricted diets, AMAZING.

This is my first time ordering this. It’s really tasty. I wanted to make myself some diabetic friendly treats. This was easy to put in my candy molds then I used edible glitter paint on top for a fun look. I keep them in my freezer. I will order again.

This product did not work well for Almond Crescent cookies, was too wet and did not set up. Had to double batch and add a different brand to not waste the entire batch. Might be ok for other recipes though. Taste was fine.

Me llamaron la atención varias cosas:(a) El porcentaje de almendras es mayor que en la mayoría de los mazapanes comerciales.(b) Tiene pocos ingredientes. Otros tienen papas, huevos, etc.(c) El maltitol no promueve las caries, y es mejor para personas (como mi señora) que deben minimizar su ingestión de azúcar.(d) Confites con maltitol en vez de sacarosa suelen ser apreciablemente más caros, pero este no.Compré una porción de media libra, y a todos nos gustó.Por ende ¡compré más! Pero, advertencia:hay que comerlo con moderación, pues es laxante.

I have tried a variety of almond pastes over the years and decided to try the Mandelin Paste. This almond paste score high on all my requirements. Foremost was the flavor which was a flavor I remember from my childhood. The almond taste was not too strong and over powering or too weak as the other brands i used in the past. The consistency is very malleable due to the packaging in a plastic bag within a plastic container unlike other almond paste products. It made perfect macaroons for Passover which needed to be made Gluten free. The one draw back is that I can not find the product locally so I have think well enough of head of when I need the paste so I can allow time for getting the product. I was pleased that it arrived on time and in excellent packing, thank you so much and would highly recommend you company and plan to use you agin in the future.
