It depends on your definition of hard. I was expecting an inflexible mouse pad, but that’s not what this is. It’s a semi-hard surface that bends easily.

Q: What is the size of the standard and mini versions of this?

Standard is 14" x 10" and mini is 10.6" x 8.5"

Q: Is there a better way to remove it from your desk so it doesn't completely screw it up? If it leaves adhesive residue, how do you get it off?

It is super easy to remove and will not damage your surface. My desk has a formica covering and it causes no problems

Q: does it work with mac?

I have found it hit or miss. As I moved the Mac around on the mousepad. I noted nothing registers. I checked and it does have Made in China on it. So check, must be legit OEM part. I asked SIRI, my Mac's best friend and a sUper Jenius and she said 'All your base are belong to us" Who is us? Where are my base? I asked again and she said "The cake is a lie." I think I was trolled by my Mac and Iphone. 10/10 would recommend. It's so pretty.
