Yikes! 4 bad units in a row.
Terrible quality control. The first one I got would only boot to Android, not Windows. Kept giving me an error message "Your PC ran into a problem and need to restart" over and over again. I returned it and bought a second one. That one was dead on arrival. I returned it and gave Chuwi one more try. The third one was just like the first one. It wouldn't boot to Windows. I called Amazon technical support for the second two units. They tried to help but eventually said I got a defective unit.Chuwi support reached out to me and offered to send me a free replacement. It arrived but it has the same issue. Won't boot to Windows. Now they're not returning my emails. Major problem with these computers.

Just ok
It's ok , not what I expected. It does run very quite and has good speed to it. I am still having issues with the Wi-Fi on the windows OS. there is an issue with the type of driver and windows has no solution nor does Chuwi. the Andriod OS connects with no problem, however the aspect ratio to get either OS to fit on monitor or TV is a pain in the rear. you have to reset it every time you switch to one or the other. Also the manual is a wasted piece of paper. no real instructions except how to plug it in. duh I am not a techie so took several days to figure all this out. Its not easy switching from one OS to the other you have to reboot every time. Plus it does not support miracast as ot states in description.

Great value for $111
Purchased through lightning deal so I got so I got this a lower than usual price. I already have a wireless Logitech keyboard with touchpad so the three USB ports come in handy especially the USB 3 port. I used this primarily a media center attached to a TV. No issues with either Android or Windows OS. With Windows, Amazon Prime media works like any other PC and I use VLC to play back media from storage devices.. No problem accessing the Google store and downloading apps. It does have the 1-button icon to switch from one OS to the other. With the 4Mb RAM, there is no worry about Windows updates exceeding memory requirements. Processor and memory is fast enough that I do not have any speed issues playing types any media. Unless someone received a defective box, I do not understand the 1-star ratings based on the rationale of the downgrades. This is a much better low cost alternative to an Android box or a PC on a stick. It is significantly lower cost than similar configurations of mini PC boxes with only a Windows OS. I was looking at different refurbished small form PCs to use as a media center but this is turning out to a better and smaller alternative.

Need US plug adapter.
Should let customers know it doesn't come with a US power supply plug. Very inconvenient. Could've purchased one before hand.

After it Updated it Rejected me
I have had this for about a month and a week so far but this Am the system said it would be updating at 9:30 Am (EST). Well when it came back on it would not acknowledge\ connect to my wifi or any at all. It kept saying I needed a Ethernet cord. I have been on the Ph. all day with Microsoft and Amazon and Emailed Chuwi to No Avail. The Rep. said there have been other reported incidents. So What the crap do I do now?

Runs Linux Mint! Does not need IR receiver for wireless remote!
Does what I wanted. Runs Linux Mint 18.1. Press F7 repeatedly while powering on to get to setup. ESC appears to work too. Use keyboard arrows to select boot device. Viola! Booted and installed Linux from USB drive. Install and run UKUU to update to Linux Kernel 4.11.4 to fix sound and freezes. Sound comes out HDMI, so plug speakers into monitor. WiFi not working yet, but I don't care. I plugged directly into router via ethernet cable. Could also use USB Wifi dongle. I'm using HiBox as a workstation for OpenSCAD, Blender, Repetier, and slic3r with my RepRapGuru 3D printer. Included wireless remote works as "mouse in the air" too. Cool! Remote has IR window on case, but is not IR. Just put batteries in it. Plays Minecraft and other games after Kernel 4.11.4 update. Best deal on mini-PC for Linux. Much more responsive than my old Toshiba netbook.

Very quiet and low power!
I have to say my hopes weren't too high with this little guy. It's definitely not super power or fast. Boot time on it is pretty good. I have this setup as a Plex server with an external drive. Didn't bother wasting my time with Windows or Android. There was a few bumps a long the way to get Linux up and running. I tried just about every flavour of Ubuntu and Linux Mint. For some reason those distros did not work very well I this box. It was plagued with random freezing. Perhaps there was a way to remedy that but I'm by no means an expert and I couldn't fix it. I finally went with Manjaro. And I'm quite impressed with this box and Manjaro. I definitely do not have this box transcoding, it'd never hold up. Direct streaming works great. Pretty happy so far. I'll update if anything changes.

WiFi and SD card slot do not work properly
The SD card slot doesn't work with most SD cards due to a hardware defect with the Intel Atom Z8000 chip. Intel suggests are software workaround that could fix it.Wifi stops working if you install Windows 10 updates. No updated driver is available. Don't update Windows unless you want to lose wifi capability. Existing wifi does not work well. I recommend that you disable the onboard wifi and use a USB wifi adaptor.
