Review: Great 2 gang box, to extend out your existing one. - Easy to install over an existing outlet. I used this 2 gang to install a deep dimmer switch that wouldn't fit in the old metal 1 gang box. This attaches to the old box with use of the provided screws into the old switch mount holes. I centered it for looks, but it slides when pushed hard, but that's not biggy. The back plate attaches first, after you have cut out the back slot to allow your wires through. Once it's mounted you press on the box, do your wiring, attach the new deep switch...botta bing, your now ready to install the faceplate. This 2 gang box is very versatile. I highly recommend it if you need to install a deep dimmer, and have no room to do so. I went with the 2 gang, because it was thinner than the single gang, but would still allow installation of the switch. Plus it is more appealing to the eye, over a bigger single gang box.

Easy to install over an existing outlet. I used this 2 gang to install a deep dimmer switch that wouldn't fit in the old metal 1 gang box. Unfortunately, 2 of them cracked during basic install. It was challenging to get box to not warp when installed. Should make thicker.
