I was struggling with the incline on one of the hikes I did this summer. I tend to not be someone who eats while I hike, because it makes me nauseous. I've been a fan of Gu gels seemingly forever. I find them to be easy to digest during high-intensity workouts; I also find that they give me the boost that I need. Sure, the wrapper can get a little sticky and once you tear them open you have to figure out what to do with the empty wrapper and the top but that's a small price to pay. These are super convenient to carry and will give you the boost you need. I really like the various flavors and this salted caramel version is really quite good. I always have these on hand!

I am a distance cyclist and the Gu Gels provide a tasty energy boost that is absorbed quickly and turned into necessary energy when I am lagging. I am always surprised at how well these work and the fact that they taste so good. They are a great quick pick-me-up.

This is my 3rd different flavor and by far my favorite. Every single one I bought the flavor was spot on. The texture is really gross and different when you first start but you will eventually get used to it. Great price and does the job !!

These have been my go-to for several years as a runner. It’s so much for affordable to purchase on Amazon versus going to the running store. These definitely improve my performance on my long runs, gives me the boost I need!

It’s like a liquid candy bar, some flavor are not a good experience. Not the case with the caramel.

This is the energy gel I prefer to use. It’s easy on the stomach and tastes great. If you don’t like sweeter tastes, this might not be for you. I used these when training for a half marathon and for the race itself. It’s nice that Amazon sells it in bulk quantity so I don’t have to buy single packs from my local stores. With any sort of gel or GU you want to make sure you use it on a training run before a race. As they say, nothing new on race day!
