Review: Great product. Easy to use. - Works great. Nice and compact but not pocket size. Love it
Review: This camera is a dissapointment . . . - Be aware that the RAW files employed by this camera are not compatible with slightly older operating systems. Neither Canon's software nor Adobe's DNG converter will function except with recent operating systems. To edit this camera's RAW files on a Mac you will have to have at least OS X 10.11.6 However, that upgrade is not available, requiring an upgrade to High Sierra, and that may cause problems with some of your existing programs. The camera is small, with control buttons located where they will too easily be activated while handling the camera. There is too little space for my thumb to grip the camera without contacting buttons every time I pick it up. The focus and exposure point is too easily move on the touch screen by accidental contact. I want to find it in the center of the screen or viewfinder, not stuck off in a corner. The touch screen in review mode seems to have a mind of it's own, interpreting touches, taps, with unintended results. I wanted a mirror less camera for it's size and weight, but I will stick with my SLR. The optical view finder is far superior to the screen or electronic finder . . . besides, most of the weight and bulk is in lenses, not the camera body. With all the bells and whistles this camera has, a comprehensive manual is needed. But the only true operator's manual is only on line in PDF format. It seems a good manual, but it should come in print form, so that it could be stuffed in a camera bag. As it is, internet access is required, or the file loaded on a laptop. I don't care to lug around a laptop when backpacking. This camera's design seems aimed at cell phone photographers that use them at arm's length and shoot selfies, rather than more serious photographers wanting to lighten their load. UPDATE . . . . Battery life is marginal. It has been my experience that a battery will often not make it through a day of moderate use. A spare battery is a must for vacations and extended shooting situations. The battery charger is pretty slow as well. My Canon 80D makes it through a day or more easily. Regarding the RAW file issue . . . I downloaded Adobes latest DNG converter to my wife's later OS laptop, but conversion failed. Since then I have purchased a new iMac with high sierra, and the same version of DNG converter works well, and converted the files that previously failed to convert. The problem again, is that even Canon's software to download their RAW (CR2) files does not work except on Mac's later operating systems. There is a real problem for me that manufacturers and computer makers are so happy to obsolete software and equipment. LASTLY . . . There should be a way to lock the touch screen so that handling the camera does not (butt dial) or change things while handling the camera. I have not looked into it, but the central metering and focus rectangle is easily accidentally dragged off center and is a real annoyance to drag it back to the center where I want it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ MIRRORLESS
*by M***E on September 13, 2019*

This must be the 7th or 8th Canon camera I've purchased over the years. This M6 has become my favorite. Not only does it accept my many EOS lenses (with an adapter), but it has all the controls you'll need as an amateur photographer. Light weight, easy to use and it takes excellent photos. As a bonus, I purchased a manual focus fish eye lens. I called Canon support to find out how to change settings so I could actually use it. The support was superb. Love Canon!!
