So many of the jade versions are just plastic which can react to acids in skin care products then leach chemicals. Metal is safest for short term use. Be sure to wash it before using — that goes for any metal skincare product. There is often oil involved in the manufacturing, so washing it with soap and water will remove any residual oil. Easy to use. Good weight. Refrigerates beautifully and also warms under hot water. Good value.
