Review: Works as Advertised! - Bought this to make a witches cauldron decoration for Halloween. I put it into the cauldron and filled the pot with water per the directions, but the "smoke" wouldn't rise up out of the cauldron. So I ended up putting a bowl upside down inside the bucket, set the fogger on the bowl, and filled with water to where it reached the fogger. Worked like a charm!! It was just a s.all display, but it served it's purpose! Would not fill a room with smoke, you would need a bigger fogger for that effect. CAUTION: this fogger spits water! It might be because of how high to the top of the bucket I had to put it, but just be warned it has the potential to damage anything close to it or what it sits on! I had mine outside so it wasn't a deal breaker for me. The lighting effect was pretty cool, and it was bright enough to glow into the smoke and make it look spooky. Good product, does what is advertised.

I don’t know if they changed the makeup of these things, but they used to only go for a month or two with steady use and then they’d quit making fog. These things, when they quit producing fog, they simply need to be wiped down with bleach and they are like brand new again!

A: Also, don’t use distilled water.  You have to use plain tap water.

**Q: What are the dimensions?**
A: 1.75" diameter and 1.75" tall, top piece is about 3.5" tall by 2.25" in diameter at the widest point.

**Q: Can this be used out of water?**
A: It has a safety feature that shuts off when it's out of water. You don't want to operate it outside of water. It uses water to make the mist. Not only will it not work because it is out of water, but I can't make mist because there is no water. If you put it in water, though, it works really well and makes a lot of mist.

Update 9/20/2020 (The last mister I purchased stopped making mist all of the sudden, hey I have found that these foggers are hit and miss, some last for years, others no so much, I thought they are under warranty, so I contacted the Seller "BrainyDeal" and sure enough they are sending out a replacement ASAP, very nice customer service, especially for a low priced item like this) These Atomizers work very well, only issue is will you get one that lasts for two years or only a few months, I have bought 5 of these now, had two die within six months, the seller replaced the last one to die, great customer service! but the others worked great for years, they put out a good amount of mist in my outdoor fountains, create great ambiance.
